Beer in the parks

I have a weird question! Lol. My father in law only drinks Coors Light. Is that a beer that can be found in the parks? All I see on park restaurant menus is Bud Light.

Haha! I know. I know. He will drink other beers if he absolutely has to, but only really likes Coors Light.

I don't recall Coor's Light in any of the TS restaurants in the parks...I think the best chance for finding in on menus might be at restaurants in DS.

We used to have it on the global bar menu at most table services way back, but I think it disappeared about 10 years ago. May have to try something new!

Some beer drinkers are very particular. Some will drink anything on tap or be willing to try odd brews but I have a friend whose a Heineken drinker. If a bar or restaurant doesnt have it on hand he will not even consider a replacement. He then turns to Jack Daniels and Coke.

I think the Rocky Mountain water source makes for a better tasting beer than the bitter tasting Disney water source.

That was the beer of choice for my shipmates when I was in the Navy. I don't drink but I always wondered why they settled for just that? Had to be cheap or something. haha

If he is a bit adventurous, try a stein of beer in German pavilion. It's not Coors Light but German's seem to have the inside know-how on how to brew a fine beer; been doing it for centuries. My son-in-law and I have both been to Germany on military deployments and concur "German bier" is one of the best. We always stop in Germany and get a cold one and wurst while in EPCOT.

Yes! No weak, watery, incompletely brewed concoction there. Real beer, full bodied and robust. Prost! Been deployed there myself so from this old vet I Salute You.

PS - The Germany Pavilion has Schöfferhofer Hefeweizen Grapefruit Bier.

As the name implies, it’s brewed with pink grapefruit and it’s DELICIOUS.

I don’t even LIKE grapefruit but it’s become my go-to treat at Epcot, just as the Dole Whip is my go-to at the Magic Kingdom

I agree. I don't like grapefruit either but the bitterness of the beer and the acidity of the grapefruit cancel each other out enough to meld perfectly. The issue I have with it, is that while I once thought it was unique, it's now sold all over the parks. It's on Sunset Blvd at HWS and I even saw it on the menu at Tusker House the other day. I believe it's popularity also brought it to retail stores, as I can easily find it at Total Wine.

I guess that makes sense. I can remember a friend who was a major Pink Floyd fan, almost to the point where no other music mattered.
