Yes, you should follow the rules.No-one has to go to WDW, least of all during a pandemic. Those choosing to visit (and it is absolutely a choice) should abide by the rules.
That doesn't mean the rules are perfect.

Agreed. However, we also need to acknowledge that rules also have to account for the lowest common denominator.Yes, you should follow the rules.

I was merely responding to the claim that those saying the rules should be followed are "entitled".Yes, you should follow the rules.

The discussion was about the mask rules at Disney. If Joe is following the rules, then I don't see what the issue is or where entitlement comes into it.That's not the claim.
Joe doesn't think masks should be mandatory. Kathy does. Kathy is acting like she is entitled to tell Joe what to do.
Joe respects Disney's rules and will follow them when he's at WDW.
Joe wants Disney to change the rules and he thinks the only reason that Disney isn't changing the rules is because people like Kathy insist on them. The discussion was about the mask rules at Disney. Joe should realise that he is incredibly privileged to be able to travel to a theme park during a pandemic. He should count his blessings, wear his mask, and stop projecting onto Kathy.Joe wants Disney to change the rules and he thinks the only reason that Disney isn't changing the rules is because people like Kathy insist on them.

And Steve needs to stop purposely wearing his mask incorrectly and trying to get away with not wearing it when the rules say he should.Kathy should realize that she is incredibly privileged to be able to travel to a theme park during a pandemic. She should count her blessings, wear her mask, and stop nagging other people to do the same.
Only one of the people in your example is grumbling about the rules as Disney itself has set them.Kathy should realize that she is incredibly privileged to be able to travel to a theme park during a pandemic. She should count her blessings, wear her mask, and stop nagging other people to do the same.

But of course, some thrive on controversy and discord. So if Kathy and Joe are both vaccinated (with vaccines that are effective, widely available, and free) they are both immune. Let Joe return to normal if that's what he wants. If Kathy wants to triple mask for the next 25 years, she is free to do so. If Steve refuses to get vaccinated because of his choice, then gets infected, that is Steve's responsibility
Maybe if people stopped trying to gaslight, demean, or guilt others, rather than focusing on ways and incentives to get people vaccinated then we would be in a better place.
Good thing to know all the outdoor rallies and protests of the last year never contributed to a world-wide pandemic!!There has never been any proof of it spreading outdoors
I think we can stop throwing around words like 'entitled'. Next thing you know, it'll be 'elites' and 'Californians'! The words don't even mean what they originally were meant to mean anymore. If you know what I mean. I mean, no one actually says 'Californians' but you get the gist. That's not the claim.

Yes some of the top people of "Science" were very quiet on the subject....depending on what the outdoor rallies and protests were for.Good thing to know all the outdoor rallies and protests of the last year never contributed to a world-wide pandemic!!
There was only one side that was complaining about one activity and not the other being super spreaders!!Good thing to know all the outdoor rallies and protests of the last year never contributed to a world-wide pandemic!!
Which is fine. They are perfectly entitled to do what they want on their property. They only have to answer to the bottom line.Again, we’re talking about WDW. What Joe or Kathy thinks is neither here nor there; Disney sets the rules, and that’s all that matters.
Masks will be at WDW for longer than sooner (whatever sooner means), despite what the great state of Florida does.Which is fine. They are perfectly entitled to do what they want on their property. They only have to answer to the bottom line.
But really WDW mask rules are on borrowed time. Unlike at DLR, at WDW they are going away sooner rather than later. People will have to make the decision and take personal responsibility for their actions if they CHOOSE to go to WDW.
They'll be gone outdoors before the summer starts. Gone indoors before the summer ends.Masks will be at WDW for longer than sooner (whatever sooner means), despite what the great state of Florida does.
