yeah that looks great, hopefully maybe that means they will repurpose the old cast member building thats inside cars land now and maybe make into something cool for guests? Maybe they put an entrance by the new avengers land store and make it a walk through avengers museum or museum dedicated to marvel/stan lee?

Is the Avengers building going behind that?

The building itself is very well done.

From the always helpful bioreconstruct on the Twitter machine comes this photo taken in May, 2019 when demolition for this new building was beginning behind Luigi's.

What we can see is that this was apparently the former site of the giant wind machines that were sunk deep into the ground here to power the Flying Tires. You can see the giant row of wind tunnels buried below grade leading to the original Flying Tires ride. So they appear to have dug out all that old machinery and tunnel complex and built a CM support building on that site instead. Pretty clever!

It's nowhere near where the Avengers E Ticket ride warehouse will go, and it's really just sort of an awkward corner of space that was sitting unused.

As time goes on for DCA, they are getting just as good at squeezing in stuff into every usable piece of land like they've been doing over at Disneyland for many decades.

Yeah, I was asking more because it seemed like an odd location. You could fit it back there based on this pic (black box), but I assumed it was going in closer to where the yellow box is.

I really enjoy the outdoor queue at Luigis. Not sure why. Those boxed trees and it somehow feeling like the motherland? I’m curious to see if the new themed building strengthens or weakens that feeling. I read that they wanted it to feel like the Italian city in Cars 2 which is an interesting choice considering we’re in Radiator Springs.

Also really liked the quiet path from Cars Land to Bugs Land. It was like the DCA equivalent of taking the 118 instead of the 101. All my SF Valley people know what I’m talking about.

Red arrow points to new Luigi building and yellow box is approx. where the Avengers building would go. The Luigi building is a barrier between guests in Carsland and the Avengers building.

Yeah, but did they need that space next to Luigi's to make the Avengers E Ticket? No.

It seems they just needed space for expanded CM/infrastructure. So they wedged it in there where the old Flying Tires wind machines used to be buried underground. A very clever reuse of that sliver of land!

Isn't the building that is right next to Guardian's supposed to be the entry to the e-ticket? If so, I'm guessing the shwo building will be a bit closer than where you are now. In any case, I don't think the Luigi building was built to disguise the e-ticket...seems too far away. We'll see one day a few years from now.

I think the main show building will take over most that parking lot, with a connection from the current built facade.

ETA:

Reminder of what we should see built. The front part has been built already. The back section (outlined In red) is what would be built next.

looks like the que for the showbuilding would actually be to the right of the building holding the quinjet. The area where theres just a wall now. Maybe the quinjet building will be a store?

Had to build the admin building to house the folks moving out of those trailers. Now that the admin building is up, the trailers can come down and they can clear that land out. Or just convert it fully into a parking lot while they wait.
