Welcome one and all to my new interiation of my dream disney resort.
A bit of backstory on me, I am autistic and am a writer. I love to create. Disney world is one of very few places where I feel comfortable and at peace. This resort is intended to be a setting for a story I am writing that is set in a alternate universe to our own. Some things are different there and there is actual background magic in this universe ( mainly environmental and technical). The world is more of a Utopia and competition really isn't a thing. ( For example, key choices were made and HP and Nintendo have a home in this resort instead of being in universal.)

About the resort. This resort is huge. The Castle park, Kingdom of Dreams is ten thousand acres alone. I'm still working out exactly what parks will be included though I can tell you that there will also be a EPCOT like park. I will edit this section as I come up with ideas.

We'll be starting with a breakdown of Kingdom of Dreams in the next post !
( I welcome suggestions and improvements!)

Kingdom of Dreams Summary

This is a huge park. 10,000 acres. The set up is still fuzzy to me, but I can give you an idea of what I'm picturing!
Three rings- the outer ring is set up for IP lands and other orginal lands
the center ring is set up as expansion space- half for the inner ring and half for the outer ring
The inner ring is all original lands
Outer ring is still under construction, but will have A Marvel land, an HP land and a Nintendo land
The inner ring contains these lands
HUB- This is the hub of the hub and spoke design- it is a garden paradise, with things around the edge that help with the transion into the land that sits beyond - the hub is kinda half a land.
1.Paradiseland- Explore the beach .
2. Oceania- Explore the ocean
3.Adventureland- Go on wild adventures through the jungle and desert.
4. Frontierland- The Wild Wild West is yours to tame.
5.Land Of Legends - a area where folklore legends come to life
6. Liberty Square Explore Colonial America
7.New Orleans Square explore the Bayou.
8 Chinatown Chinese American/ Chinese culture gets the spotlight here,
B Buena Vista Street- Entry area number 2- the eastern entrance
9. Critter Country- A land based around the Pacific northwest
10.Fairyland/ Pixie Hollow A place where fairies roam and you get to enter their world

Whoa, this is a big, large, humungous park. There's so many lands it is like 6 parks in one. Some great ideas too, it's like a Disney Universe.

With a park of this magnitude there would definitely have to be multiple entrances. Which in turn could be adjacent to certain themed resorts (ala Grand Californian).
So the ideas I have for the entrances is to have each themed around a phase in Walt's Life
So Four entrances- essentially dividing the park into fourths. 1 is Main Street. 2 is California/Hollywood Disneyland themed. 3 is Florida and 4 is more along the ideals of EPCOT- what it was to be originally.
The problem I'm having is wether or not to have the entrance lands be part of the outer ring with the transportion hubs on a fourth ring , or have them be a part of the inside ring with the transport hub as part of the center ring. There is a monorail that does a loop around to connect all four entrance lands .

So while I think on the entrances problem, lets talk about transport infrastructure!
The whole resort is served by an airport . ( I'll talk about this in a further post!)
The whole resort is served by four monorail loops, North, South, East and West! Each has a stop on each of the TTC style areas assocated with each entrance of Kingdom of Dreams! There is another monorail loop connecting all four entrances of Kingdom of dreams together.
Other forms of transport are
surface lots, ( Theres a huge lot at each TTC style area) ,
peoplemovers- these connect non park resorts to one another
Skyliner- These are used to connect parks to one another along with connecting all resorts
Buses- Just like disney world!
Boats- connect places on the water- common around Kingdom of Dreams and some of the other parks.
Moving walkways are used to cover shorter distances

After going through pros and cons, I think the entrance lands would work better on the outer ring. Either the outer ring space would be more like our main streets- ( no attractions) and the center ring be an extension of the land with attractions and then another land on the inner ring, or there would be some form of transport to lead to a land in the inner ring.

Woah this is amazing so far. A lot of my personal theme park projects (& just personal projects in general) haven’t gotten much development cause they’ve only been like 36th priority for me, but I can tell you really care about this, & my only advice would be to just tdo what you want & when you want. I can’t wait to see how things play out!

Also please if anyone has any suggestions or ideas feel free to chime in!

Things each land has
A first aid station- this is mainly because the park is so huge!
Restrooms- Usually multiple stand alone restrooms- There are three types- Male, Female and Gender neutrual -handcap stalls are in each. Each table service resturant will have a restroom as well
Backstage areas( these are usually on the edge of each land
A way to get to the corosponding outer/inner ring land-
Expansion areas built into the land - amount varies
An sensory building- quiet space for our autisic guests
A respite area- for people who want to take a break
Popcorn carts- Each land has a unique flavor
Funnel cake carts- -----
Churro carts------
Character waffle stands- each land has at least one different character-
Stroller corrals
Water fountains
Club 33 ( It works a bit differently in this resort)
A small guest services location- size varies but because the park is so large, there is a place you can go for services in every land
a dvc stand - this is either in guest services or a small stand near the respite area.
Fastpass plus kisoks
Fastpass og machines- One for every attraction,
Characters meets- It's a mix of wandering/roaming characters and permanent meeting spots

I have stated if you are expecting realism - you aren't going to find it in the set up of the park ( inside, I hope to match the disney touch and make realistic ride choices and stuff like that)
In this au- because of in universe mechanics- both the earth and the population is much larger, This main park is intended to be the crown jewel of this mega resort. The rings that make up the park are equal- both have the same amount of slots for lands 36 lands on the inner ring means 36 land slots on the outer ring.

This resort is meant to be the prime location for vacations

A shorter answer would be because I have ideas for that many things and because it makes sense in my mind

If it's truly blue sky, then I vote for Disney Island - not a natural island, mind you, but one built by Disney that can be developed to specifically meet the needs of the park - with its own airport, cruise line terminal, and residential areas. Of course, in my scenario, after a few years of operation, Disney Island proclaims its independence, moves its corporate HQ there to take advantage of a favorable tax and regulatory scheme. Ultimately there is a Faulkland Islands-type conflict that is resolved peaceably.

I don't have a defined location for it yet, but a large island popped up in my brainstorming about this. It works with a lot of my ideas for the other parks in the resort

Now that I've got a location I will describe the island
It is a

Two airports- One a small airport, mainly for smaller planes, this one is over by the port. Disney International Airport is where all major flights come in and leave from. It is on a seperate island, that is connected to the main island by boat.
A port! Disney Cruises are the only commercial cruises docked here and there are three new boats that exclusively run from the island.
( There is also a recreation of Port Disney there, intended to
Two cities. One is near the port, and the other is about an hour away from the airport.
Various theme parks, Kingdom of Dreams is set up to give guests a taste of some concepts, and those concepts are explored elsewhere in the resort. For example- the music themed land explores different concepts then the music themed park which is themed around different types of mysuc. Marvel and Star Wars parks are set in original settings. ( I'll provide a list later)
A ton of hotels. At least one per park, though the ratio is more along the lines of Disney World. The are 9 levels of hotels, 1. a touring hotel, This is intended to be a bare bones hotel type, intended for guests that go from park open to park close. 2. Value Hotels- these look like All Star Movies-et al, 3. Family Suite Hotels- These are full suite hotels. 4. Moderate Hotels - Ala Disney world. 5. Deluxe Hotels . 6. DVC resorts or dvc branches of existing hotels, 7. in park hotels- these hotels are in the parks. 8 Boutique hotels, ala the new star wars hotel at Disney worlds. 9 . Campsites
Disney Springs/ Downtown Disney like areas. Pleasure Island returns along with a Theater district, a mini broadway of sorts.

This is not a complete list

Took a short break, but I have returned ,
A basic description of the park layout
There are essentialy four rings of plots in this park. Each ring is inside a berm , in order to make room for transportation options to connect different lands without being too much of a sore thumb when traveling through different areas. In between each plot there is a transion area which merges the two. Each plot also has built in expansion plots to allow for new rides or sublands without removing existing areas.
1. extreme outer ring- Upon opening this ring contains the landing areas for transport to each of the the entrance lands. It also holds two monorail loops, one that runs along the border of the park, to stop at each of the four landing areas and one along the border of this ring and the next to allow for a resort loop to stop at at least one hotel per land. This ring is last resort expansion area
2. outer ring. This is the ip ring. These lands are generally larger, taking up more then one plot. Entrance lands are located here
3. Center ring- This is expansion space. Transport goes through each plot to connect the outer ring and inner ring
4. Inner ring - this has original lands- Ips are worked into the land but aren't the primary focus.
