I know I'm going out on a limb here, but Mexicans do drive cars and some of them do have passports and yes they do come to the US to get better healthcare.

Sure, it’s possible that‘s the problem. Maybe Mexicans with cars and passports crossing the border are driving up to Wisconsin and North Dakota too and filling the hospitals there

El Paso is a border town with frequent back and forth between Juarez Mexico. No surprise that Mexican nationals would be in hospitals there as well as the WalMart or a supermarket. Very frequent back and forth. Many Americans work across the boarder there too. What I don’t understand is why those Mexicans aren’t driving 100+ miles to other Hospitals like they are in CA

So I've been a bit skeptical about the vaccine in this thread, but I think this really tells the story. As of a few days ago 1.1M people were vaccinated worldwide. The vaccine caused 3 allergic reactions, all who recovered quickly. In the same timeframe Covid killed 90,000 people. I think my decision has been made and skepticism put to rest. I can be a man and admit my skepticism was unfounded.

Well that would be a kind gesture that showed compassion and respect to our fellow man (and woman) no matter where they came from. Do you really think that our country would do that right now? Maybe next year.

The point was that hospital shortages being blamed on illegal immigrants is patently stupid since that can't explain the hospital shortages that states far from the border have experienced and are experiencing.

And again, illegal Mexican border crossings can't be the reason for almost all the states' hospital shortages that they had in the past and are experiencing now. The entire state of California is spiking and experiencing bed shortages, not just border towns. And that was the original claim that started all this: that the entirety of California's shortages can be blamed on illegal immigration.

So, the ploy by the Open Nowers and the COVID Deniers to blame illegal immigrants is one of the stupidest things posted here, and one of the stupidest things to defend as you have just attempted to do.

Can you be any more of a stereotype of someone refusing to acknowledging our own failures by blaming 'outsiders'?

I agree with your point, but I had to show a little state pride. Mid November was downright scary up here and it felt like the world was ending, and I was told multiple times I was being an alarmist.

Now that it’s happening in non flyover country, the country cares again. I had to point out how America’s Dairyland has pulled through this. Without really any help from the government. I hope Christmas doesn’t reverse the trend.

Over 4.6M doses have been shipped out in the US and over 600K people have been vaccinated. So far 1 serious adverse reaction requiring an overnight hospital stay. So far so good. We should see a ramp up in number vaccinated pretty soon now that both vaccines are shipping. Once you get to millions vaccinated if there are no issues I think many people who were on the fence will come around.

Our hospital has already vaccinated 4,000 employees. We only have about 10,000 so even though I'd be last tier (I don't deal directly with patients, but with providers), I'm thinking I will get it before general public!

He (guy in my pic) is going to have to wait for VA. I told him it might be quicker to get it from Walgreens...

I don’t have a good source for worldwide. I bookmarked the CDC site that’s tracking the US vaccinations. It seems to be updated daily at some point in the day. I imagine worldwide will grow a lot now that EU approved Pfizer and Moderna is starting to flow out to other places. Should be into the 10s of millions by year end

You also forgot to mention free. By law hospitals also cannot turn away individuals seeking medical attention. It does not matter if they don't have means to pay for it but you already know that.
