But wait there's more........This is just another "Insider" doom and gloom thread that turned out to be obvious conclusions, wild guesses, uninformed speculation, and "Influencer" spin.

The Third Point founder sent a letter to Disney's board Wednesday arguing that the move would help Disney capture a "transformational opportunity."www.hollywoodreporter.com
I thought all threads ventured into the culinary delights of Belgium, then circled back to the topic.I'm not sure how this thread went from the original topic to whether the food is better in Belgium versus Amsterdam, but please try to stay on topic. Thank you.
Wolf in sheep’s clothing.Vulture?
He's recommending Disney double down on it's current strategy. No recommendation to sell off assets or merge.
Iger and the Board are probably doing head stands and spitting nickels over this endorsement of their strategy.
Nothing much to talk about Belgium cuisine so good back on topic.I thought all threads ventured into the culinary delights of Belgium, then circled back to the topic.![]()

You can get mayo on your fries at WDW, you just have to ask for it. I'm sure neither the layoffs, bad attendance nor Iger's legacy will affect that.*I disagree, mayonnaise slapped on random items is epicurean terrorism.

Not sure yet.Any word on layoffs at Universal announced today? Saw a cryptic post from a friend who works at the corporate level about being heartbroken for parks employees.
That is because of the WARN Act.(it was commentary that many got the fiscal year date wrong and thought the full force of the layoffs were all going to happen on one day so that Disney's new fiscal year would be 'clean' of those employeesAs it is, a lot of the layoffs don't take place until one-third to two-thirds of the way through the new first quarter.)
So what happens when you are on unemployment’s benefits, and the extended PEUC benefits run out, what other options are there For Laid off CM?
Or what CA residents are doing what TX residents are hating, moving to TX in droves.First off, you don't wait until the benefits run out. You start scrambling on day one, taking anything available. Of course that's very difficult in a state like CA where so many things have been kept closed. But grocery stores, Wal-mart, Target and the like have continued to hire. You start driving for Uber. You become a personal shopper, that sort of thing. The good news is that it doesn't take that much to replace what Disney paid.

They do what everyone else in the country has to do if they get laid of because of downsizing, business losses or Pandamic business closures. You do whatever you can to find another job with a company that is still able to have a sufficient income to pay your wages. If necessary flipping burgers at McDonalds probably pays more then Disney was paying anyway.First off, you don't wait until the benefits run out. For Disneyland employees, in-n-out is an amazing company to work for. They only promote from within and store managers make 6 figures. If necessary flipping burgers at McDonalds probably pays more then Disney was paying anyway.

They make good food, have consistently good service and clean stores, and they have record setting per-store profits. What's with these 3 'word' hyphenated conservative owned fast food setups that run super tight games like Chick- FIL-A and In-N-Out Burger.
