The government does not produce wealth they take wealth from the citizens. It is the citizens via taxes who fund everything to many people forget that.
No, but the funding is for in person instruction at a certain level of quality. 3rd graders getting zoom classes aren't getting what the funding was approved for.
I just have to say, Go BearsI'm in Illinois, Chicago to be exact. We are actually doing pretty darn good here. We had a spike, in certain regions across the state that weren't as good about masks and other things
Also, we had a spike but hospitalizations stayed steady which is great.
Masks work and I actually think the metro area in Illinois is a great example.
Yes cases are going to spike from time to time, thats the nature of a virus. But if masks were mandated, it shouldn't be as severe as the first go around. People are going to gather indoors, you are right. Not sure we can stop that.
So #defund the schools if they want to make changes during a global pandemic based on how their local leadership feels? No, but the funding is for in person instruction at a certain level of quality. 3rd graders getting zoom classes aren't getting what the funding was approved for.
Was there anything on there about "I will be ready to visit once my home state lifts mandatory travel quarantines after visiting Florida"? Right now, that's one of the biggest considerations for people in the northeast on when we will book our next Disney trip.
To think teachers were seen as Hero in the springSo #defund the schools if they want to make changes during a global pandemic based on how their local leadership feels?
That‘s not a good idea at all. Most funding that comes from the federal government for schools is used for special programs for kids with needs, let’s not punish them over politics. The bulk of the operating budget for schools comes from either the state or from local taxes. What I had proposed was the carrot instead of the stick approach. Offer districts that want to return physically but don’t have the money to implement what’s needed additional federal funds. So #defund the schools if they want to make changes during a global pandemic based on how their local leadership feels?
I think the reason they left that question or similar ones off is you were already there. They assumed that if you were in FL already then travel quarantines were not an issue for you, plus they can’t control that situation. These surveys are key to determine just how many people who showed up at a WDW hotel are going to the parks and if they would have come anyway if no new safety protocols were in place vs how many people only feel comfortable with the safety protocols in place. There are people who think if WDW lifted all restrictions today tje parks would be more crowded while others feel they would lose more people if it didn’t feel as safe. That kind of survey gives them some actual data to work with in determining which way to proceed.Absolutely agree, and there was nothing contained in the survey related to it.
I am from MA myself, and know that many people in this area visit but are being deterred due to the restrictions.
Some are going regardless, or are in a situation such as myself where i am able to take a 'three week vacation' ( WDW for a week, two week quarantine post-visit ).
The survey was primarily interested in my opinions on my stay at 'Pop Century', particularly my experiences with Cast and my thoughts on how they are handling safety and health concerns related to COVID-19.
There were also several questions related to Disney Transportation, which i gave quite a bit of typed commentary on.
I have taken many of these surveys over the years, and this one included many specific questions wanting to know if i felt 'safe' staying at the Resort related to what i observed in regards to the COVID related policies currently in place.

This week is over in two days. I wish they would hurry up as it will probably be the exact same guidelines as WDW did for their reopening."California plans to issue reopening guidelines this week that will allow Disneyland, Universal Studios Hollywood and other theme parks in the state to resume operations after more than six months of coronavirus closures, according to state officials.
Reopening guidelines for California theme parks will be issued this week, according to Jesse Melgar, press secretary for Gov. Gavin Newsom. Theme park reopening guidelines may vary by county, according to Melgar."

There’s a paywall. Did they give any specifics on the guidelines? I think it’s about time. Based on the success of theme parks other places it seems like a lower risk move to make."California plans to issue reopening guidelines this week that will allow Disneyland, Universal Studios Hollywood and other theme parks in the state to resume operations after more than six months of coronavirus closures, according to state officials.

The space occupied by the not popular NBA experience could be better utilized. Disney can do better as there are many sports franchises from which experiences can be developed that actually excite people. So is NBA Experience basically closed for good? When you lay everyone off there that's an obvious indication it's not coming back.
Hope it doesn't affect ESPN's rights deal with NBA or else they'll face bigger problems.

Are those other sports franchises willing to make the same kind of deal that the nba did?The space occupied by the not popular NBA experience could be better utilized. Disney can do better as there are many sports franchises from which experiences can be developed that actually excite people.
As Emperor Newsome continues to fiddle oblivious to the smoke. No - just this.
"Theme park reopening guidelines will be issued by the California Department of Public Health, according to California Health and Human Services spokesperson Rodger Butler.
“Theme park guidance is expected to come from CDPH this week,” Butler said via email. “Theme parks will be incorporated into the Blueprint for a Safer Economy similar to other sectors.”
That's been argued since they announced it. But it had to cost a ton of money; it would be a shame to see it shuttered so soon. The space occupied by the not popular NBA experience could be better utilized. Not really. There are moments, just moments.Basketball doesn't excite people?
