Recommendations for DS Dinner?

I currently have an ADR for The Edison? Good choice? Pick another?

That's a vague question. What type of food are you looking for? Is price an issue? Environment?

The Edison is known for burgers and American dining. It's good. Pretty standard fare.

My favourite in DS is Art Smith's for the fried chicken. I'd choose it over the Edison but without knowing your tastes it's kind of a meaningless opinion.

2nd vote for raglan road. it’s a must on every trip. good food, lively music. gets a bit loud in there, but very relaxing.

You know...I always wonder why there are so many recommendations for raglan?

I enjoy it...but the Irish food place is kinda common isn’t it? Maybe I’m wrong

My tastes are wide open. Been to Homecoming, like Raglan. I like it too.

Recently ate at Jaleo my family enjoyed the chicken croquettas, the papa bravas and the flan immensely. I enjoyed my chicken a la brasa, and my mom her shrimp. Everything is served tapa style and comes out when it is ready to come out so the food is always fresh.

The outdoor patio was lovely and had an amazing breeze and nice view. We felt like the only people there, and the staff was very accommodating in making us feel comfortable given the whole pandemic.

Definitely recommend Jaleo if you have not been yet, plus it is Spanish food so different from the rest of the eesort.

Oh ok.

Here’s my takes:

Maria and Enzos...only for brunch. My impression is it’s normal Italian (outside of ethnic Italian areas) and not worth a separate meal.

Edison was fine. But very much indistinguishable from other fare.

Morimoto I did not like at all. And I’ve been to his nyc restaurant. Maybe a bad day.

Boathouse is nice. Pricey but nice.

The new pucks is inferior to the old pucks. Definitely a “if it ain’t broke” scenario

Frontera Cucina is nothing special.

STK just isn’t worth it. Not much to say.

I like wine bar George...that one id recommend.

Paddlefish is a step down from Fulton’s in my book.

Jaleo was fantastic! Forgot to mention that earlier. And I absolutely love the chef. He puts his time, energy, money and influence to good use supporting causes...if that matters.

Okay, I've made a tentative ADR for Wine Bar George on my HS day at 6:30 pm (I snagged it because it was available) but hope to be able to change the reservation to a later time at some point. Right now, no other availability the whole week in the evening. I also already had an ADR for Topolino's Terrace at 8:40pm for the same night. I haven't cancelled it at this point. I still have my ADR for The Edison on the Friday night of my trip so could still switch that to something else. WBG is unlikely. Maybe switch that one to Jaleo.

Not bad. I really liked Jaleo and will be back ASAP.

Refresh me on WBG? My Brain must be in withdrawal

Wine Bar George. Its on my HS day. I plan to arrive at 9:15 per @wdwmagic and hope to get a spot for ROTR. The ADR is for 6:30 so before HS closes. But I do have another day planned for HS so not as worried about leaving early. Topolino Terrace sounded interesting because of view but may cancel because of prices.

Right...lol...never saw it in acronym form before 😂

I have no desire to go to the bon bini tower...at all. One flyby was enough.

I didn’t even look up the menu...how bad is it?

I cringe

I just typed it. Wine Bar George. WBG. Makes sense to me. LOL! Okay, I may cancel the Topoline Terrace ADR (this is the one in the Riveria not CSR). It is expensive.

$18 for appys and $56 for steak and potatoes is expensive?

...now if you’ll excuse me...I’m rolling through the Chick-fil-A drivethrough in my Bentley
