Grand Floridian Cafe

With more limited options to choose from, the Grand Floridian Cafe has popped up as an option for us in a couple of weeks. We've never eaten here. Any thoughts/feedback?

IMHO I think it is one of the best hidden gem/underrated restaurants on WDW property. The Chicken and Waffles was delicious (the buttermilk fried chicken is amazing) though at the time it was kind of a secret menu item that you had to ask for. I have also heard people rave about the Lobster Thermidor Burger and the Eggs Benedict Trio.

We dined there for the first time last year and enjoyed it! It’s nicely decorated to fit the Grand Floridian feel, but in an understated way, so it makes for a relaxed meal. And yes, we enjoyed the Lobster Thermidor Burger, as well as the fries that came along with it!

I've been looking through the menus. Their limited menu in all categories is looking better than Kona's if you can believe it.

The Grand Floridian cafe is great! I got a last minute reservation on my birthday. The chicken waffle is great but they have lots of tasty stuff. My mum and sis prefer things a bit lighter and they had a really nice pasta dish. I went for the turkey with cranberry sauce sandwich as it comes on a garlic focaccia that is to die for and some really nice onions rings in crispy batter. Dessert was nice too nothing took too long to come. All the servers were great so you’re in for a treat!

The Blackened steak my father and I had a few years ago was fantastic. I don't think it's a regular menu item though.
