We went in September, thinking it wouldn't be too busy, but it was pretty crowded. I imagine it will be better once the country opens up again. It's really great - I hadn't been in a couple of decades, and DH had never been. We rented a little cabin about 20 minutes away, which worked quite well for us.

Wow, lucky you! It's such an amazing place. I remember thinking how it would be incredible to live close by and be able to take a daily walk through there.

Nemo, that last photo -- is that an Alaskan lynx? (I think those are the only wild cats in Alaska, unless something's changed over the years.)

Yes that's a lynx - you can tell by the black tufts behind her ears. That's one of my favorite wildlife photos I've ever taken. I didn't like it at first, but it grew on me. The coyte picture in my Yellowstone ones is a very close second though.
