Not likely. Even when they finish this bridge, there is still a second fixed bridge to build which hasn't even been started yet.

Well, with enough hydraulic pressure and the moment that 40-foot bridge could generate, maybe WDW is planning to fling guests directly onto Splash Mountain!

I forgot about the other bridge. Oh well. My excitement for the bridge is going to be at an all time high by the time it opens.

not to mention paving and landscaping that entire stretch of land between the monorail station and the Grand Floridian. new lighting, etc. probably fencing to keep people from going off the beaten path either way

This is one of the “60 additions for the 60th” projects.

There's a small canal just north of GF.

There is a second smaller water section near the GF that needs the fixed bridge. Post #33 has a aerial picture that shows that second water section where a bridge will have to go.
