You know what's funny?
You opened a thread complaining about Disney releasing a short marketing video pushing one of their new attractions, where Chapek, the head of parks, appeared in.
And then mentioned something about Disney shills.
You can see why some may make jokes about it, no?
Whether you are or you're not, I'm going to implicate that you are a shill of Universal.
Just like, without evidence of whether they are or they are not, you implicate those cast members as Chapek's shills just reading a script.
That's just fair, don't you think?

They really need a public face, imho. If Iger doesn’t want to do it, he needs to find someone who does want the job and who will do a good job. John Lassiter would have been a good choice before..... well ya know.
Those people are literally on Disney's payroll however, you just said so yourself.
But you're implying they were told what to say as if it were their own thoughts, which is, in effect, lying.
Just like you're lying about being on Universal's payroll, no?
One side has evidence (mine), and one does not. That's all I have to say about that.

what’s your beef here?? You’re mad that Disney’s marketing and PR teams are doing their jobs and some CMs lend their voice and thoughts to make this happen? What are your expectations? For Disney not to promote their rides? For them not to involve Chapek even though he leads parks? For them to make videos with CMs bashing Disney?

Why does there always have to be a Disney vs Universal war going on. We can all love both parks and criticize both without being called a shill for either side. Disney and Universal have done amazing things but they have made missteps( specifically Galaxy's Edge and Supercharged). But they also have given us so many fantastic things!

1. As others have said, this is standard PR. Nothing shocking here.
2. Most CMs are excited to work for Disney anyway.
3. I'm sure these CMs were hand picked.
4. You turn on a camera, someone that is already energetic and dramatic turns it up a notch.
5. The video is edited and comments are curated.
6. Thousands of corporations do this very thing.

Absolute and total bull. I personally know an Exec who sat next to Chapek in a mtg, and at one point Chapek actually said “I don’t really care what you do, as long as I look good”....and this was said in all seriousness. He is dangerous, he is heartless, and he is only looking out for himself. He should get the boot.
