Chapek's new way of improving his PR image...

Please watch this video and tell me it doesn't seem like these "cast members" were not fed a script. This seems like a desperate attempt by Bob to improve his image with the theme park fans and cast members. The whole thing just screams PR stunt.

Lol, it's called "marketing", you don't think all those folks in airline commercials are really that happy.
It's a commercial.
Next, I'm not sure that Mr. Iger cares greatly about his imagine amongst the minions

You may have heard the term " marketing strategy". Commercials look to improve a company's image or Bob's. The critics including the haters that are always going to hate and internet pundits, at times have a reverse effect and actually helps improves a company's image. When a company such as Disney donates $$ to a charity or cause, does one thinks they just want donate because they have a good heart which they do? That’s good PR also. When Iger retires in Dec 2021 after his last contract extension, Chapek will probably leave for " personal reasons" such as Staggs and Rasulo when those talented executives did not get the support from the Board to be considered to be the next CEO.

Doesnt sound scripted to me. And where is Bob Chapek trying to improve an image of himself? And those are CM's. They are promoting a new attraction and Disneys going to look at putting it out there that its spectacular... but it doesnt sound like anyone was told to follow a script and say this or that. No company is going to film an employee saying its product is substandard... of course they will pick snippets of film that sounds the best and use those pieces over others.

I'd be terrified if Bob C walked into a room with me, tbh. Besides it doesn't matter what he tries to do, he is still universally hated. I wouldn't be surprised if Bob I has some content for him.
Wouldn't someone need to be universally known to be universally hated? I daresay that outside of the Disney Company, some business trade journalists, institutional investors and Disney fan sites, Bob Chapek is basically a non-entity, and pretty much only the latter seem to bear any ill will against the man. I'm fairly certain I had never heard of him before I started hanging around this website.

Heck, I'm betting that even Bob Iger is relatively obscure to the general public, since he hasn't attempted to make himself the public face of the company like Walt and Eisner did.

And yes, this video appeared to be far more of a PR plug for the new attraction than Mr. Chapek.

This is exactly the kind of post I'd expect from someone on Universal's payroll.

I've had second thoughts on Bob Chapek. I would argue 'no personality' in the man, especially after watching the D23 Parks presentations. There are a couple videos where he takes questions from reporters about GE and I found him likable. He might be one of those people that don't do well in front of large crowds and comes off stiff as in the D23 presentations.

As long as the person in this role cares about Disney and isn't just collecting a paycheck, I'll do my best to be supportive.

After the GE videos, I think he cares about the Parks.
