Somewhat similar, eh.
This beauty is called the knee extension Dynasplint. My surgeon is completely perplexed. There is no mechanical explanation as to why I can’t straighten my knee. There is extensive medial bursitis which is a side effect of my unbalanced gait. He gave me a prednisone injection for that.
An exploratory scope is the next step if this torture device doesn’t help.
I’m sure the second I get fitted for it, I’ll hear endless rounds of “Run Forrest, run”. Just a reminder though, I still have crutches, a metal cane, and the wooden cane I got when my brother died. That’s the order in which I will start swinging them.
I can’t step over things, so Ski has taken to hemming me in with objects. Usually it’s laundry baskets. Yesterday, the little butt-head pulled out the stepladder. Said it was just as effective as a bear trap.
