As @Master Yoda pointed out, it has happened with DCL. The Dream backed into a metal stanchion once (just last year, I think). But it does seem that DCL's incidents are like once-in-a-lifetime compared with the safety records of some other lines.

Either way, I'm with you. Give me DCL any day.

Edit: It was 2017, after some quick research.

We've talked to others while on a DCL ship and though some still prefer other cruise lines, most say Disney's customer service is in a class by itself. I don't want to even attempt to try others out for ourselves.
