Are you Dying to go to WDW ?

It clearly is a joke but remember a funeral is to celebrate someone's life and there is no better place to celebrate at than WDW. I know lots of people who do take a Disney trip after a loved one dies so why not have a memorial service there.

Next thing you know, they would be selling special pins that could contain loved ones ashes.

I can see one now specifically from the Haunted Mansion that would say something along the lines:

We have 999 happy haunts, but we now made room for one more.

It is quite scary how easy that is to imagine.

As funny as it is, barring a major change in company beliefs, we would never see something like this. There are a small handful of "no-no's" in Disney Parks, and death is one of them.
"Maleficent didn't die in Fantasmic, she was just defeated by the power of dreams"
"They didn't die on the Tower of Terror, they just went to the Twilight Zone"
etc.
Death, amongst other things, is highly skirted around in modern Disney. Same goes for politics (say what you want about the HoP, but it has been kept as apolitical as an attraction about political figures could be), sex, and crime (the real kind).

Agreed that it WAS a no no, but with the current power base in charge, and the WSJ article that came out last week talking about all the people that sprinkle ashes at WDW, you don't think someone hasn't looked at this as yet another way to make major$$$??? IMHO, I actually LIKE the idea, if it's done TASTEFULLY.
