Animatronics Destroyed?

I've recently been reading about how the animatronics for stitch were supposedly lying around the queue before disappearing as well as the Ellen dinos going down with the demolition. I've also been told that Ellen and the Elasmosaurus were destroyed prior to the closing of the attraction. Can anyone back these up? It really is a shame if they're just destroying them for no real reason

Yup, I have seen the photos of stitch and SIR and that's what really triggered me that Disney might just be trashing them instead of reusing them or at least keeping them pristine and storing them

Elasmosaurus was MIA for a few years. It virtually destroyed itself. Or rather the 1996 reprogramming did.

I seem to recall a rotting, skinless Allosaurus from Animal Kingdom in Paris. They had also just completely refurbished the backlot trams a few weeks before it was closed, which were all scrapped.

I mean, they tore down a whole attraction building - Horizons - and killed most of the 20K subs. This is nothing new, unfortunately.

The Allosaurus was from the Discovery River Cruise. That one hurts for me.

I can understand scrapping and reusing the components of the dinosaurs from Ellen's, but the stitch animatronic was a bit impressive to me in how smoothly it moved and it's range of motion. It seems odd that they'd have ripped that one apart.

Some of the AAs are one piece units that bolt in, and others are assembled in place. I don't know that "ripped apart" is the right terminology, based on the photos I saw of it. Skin removed so the air lines and electrical connections could be removed, yes. But in all the photos I've seen, the AA itself is still intact.

I'd also love to know if the pics are from the same one, or some are from one, and some from the other.

Meanwhile, in a cast-only area of Disneyland...
