Is Le Cellier worth it?

Though I’ve been before, I cannot remember if it was ok or actually good. Also when we tried it we had the free dining but this time it will be out of pocket... so is it worth it? I love steak!

I always get excellent service and very good food. It's better to pay out of pocket than use credits for, IMO. When they went Signature, the value of the food went up, but didn't double. The prices didn't double either, so Dining Plan became less viable.

IMHO no, if you are on the DDP for 2 credits you can go to the Yachtsman or get a good steak for 1 credit at the Grand Floridian Café, Whispering Canyon in the Wilderness Lodge or the Ale and Compass in the Yacht Club. Again, IMHO Shula's is the best steakhouse on property.

No. It’s strictly out of pocket. No dining plan. I wanted at least one nice sit down meal. I know people keep suggesting to leave the parks but it’s not really an option for us. We’re there 5 days (2 being travel days) we really need to get the most out of the parks & my husband is a wounded veteran on a walker so walking to certain places is not an option like many people suggest.

Depending on your tastes there some nice restaurants in Epcot. Tutto Italia, Chefs de France, Restaurant Marrakesh and Rose & Crown spring to mind. Check out the World Showcase and see what appeals to you.
I am retired Army recovering from total knee replacements, too many parachute jumps with that sudden stop at the end. If your husband is using a walker, I strongly encourage you to rent an ECV/scooter.

We absolutely LOVE La Cellier, we prefer it over Yachtsmen for sure, we loved it so much, we planned a second trip this year just so my wife could have it on her birthday, I will tell you to go there for sure

This summer, I'll be visiting Le Cellier for the first time since the 80's, when it was a buffeteria. It's more about just seeing something I haven't in forever than it is about expecting a phenomenal meal or any sort of value. Based on everything I've seen, I expect good to very good steak, average service, and cramped seating. So "worth" the cost? Probably not.

We go every trip because it's consistently the best food and service we receive on property. We've never had a poor dining experience in the 10+ times we've been. Typically the wife and I will split the filet, cheese soup and poutine and walk away stuffed and completely satisfied.

I say no, but that's because we have fabulous steakhouses here at home (and are a mere 60 minutes from the Canadian border, if we wish to have a full-on Canadian steak experience). If we're going to pay big bucks to eat at Disney, we'll only do it for experiences that we just can't find in our local area.

I love lean steak, and I’ve had very good to excellent steaks (mostly tenderloin filets) every time at Le Cellier. Sure, it might not be better than your local fine steakhouse at the same price point, but for being inside a Disney park, dining there is worth it.

To us, no. We find the steak quality to be mediocre at best and had prep issues last visit. Others seem to love it, so some of this could be a consistency issue.
