So is this new Space Mountain queue area underway? I know we wouldn’t see much, but I have not seen any photos of anything related to this project.

It took me a minute. I think this refers the the Westernmost building in SW:GE that covers the gap between Alcatraz and Big Bird. I think it's just the bridge that is for CMs only. Kinda threw me off. We'll see.
