Got news from the grapevine that Richard, the most famous of the Grand Floridian's door greeters, has been in the hospital for some time, and is unfortunately in failing health.

Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Yeah my grandmother same thing happened she got pneumonia in her early 90’s and then she passed days later at the hospital. That is why he has had hospice called in he is expected to not make it and Just needs comfort care no more medical care.

Same with my dad. Was in ICU for a few days, then moved to hospice and died 3 days later.

The GF won't be the same without him. Told him once I hoped to be as positive and cheerful if I ever reached his age.

What an amazing man and example of how Walt’s spirit lives on. Keeping him and his loved ones in my prayers. We need more Richards in this world.
