A week away from pure bliss...what do you do in the meantime?

Hi All
Hope everyone is doing well!!!
So...we are a week away from heading down to WDW. I feel like time is at a standstill as I look for things to do. Everything is in place. Guess my questions is, besides stalking these forums, checking, rechecking and triple checking your ADR's and FP+'s; what do you do to pass the time?

[laughing gleefully and rubbing my hands together, muttering, "welcome to my OCD world..."]

Things I do to distract myself before a vacation (besides go to my job and take care of my family, LOL):
- Return library books, renew prescriptions
- Change furnace filters and perform other household maintenance so there won't be any issues while we're gone
- Clean the entire house, top to bottom, so it looks nice when we come back
- Catch up on laundry, particularly items we intend to pack
- Stock up on pet supplies that the pet sitter will need while we're gone, and make up a checklist/contact sheet for her
- Change oil, check tires, and make sure the car's in good shape for the trip to the airport
- If we're traveling carryon-only and space is a potential issue, I "practice pack" a bag or two, and refine our packing list as needed
- Transfer Disney VISA rewards dollars to our Rewards card
- Double-check flight schedules and information (and check in online the day before we fly)
- Plan menus for the week that will use up all the perishables that are left in the refrigerator, so nothing will "go bad" while we're gone
- Give myself a pedicure, so I can look good in my sandals

Watch a few favorite Disney movies to prep myself to look for the details in the parks!
Stalk Disney social media/blogs to see if anything new popped up on the food scene that I will actually get to try and not kick myself for missing out on!
Enjoy it, because it'll be over sooner than I want to believe.

- Return library books, renew prescriptions-already returned and no prescriptions to renew
- Change furnace filters and perform other household maintenance so there won't be any issues while we're gone-GREAT IDEA!
- Clean the entire house, top to bottom, so it looks nice when we come back-this will be done this upcoming Sunday
- Catch up on laundry, particularly items we intend to pack-doing that as we speak
- Stock up on pet supplies that the pet sitter will need while we're gone, and make up a checklist/contact sheet for her-no pets
- Change oil,and make sure the car's in good shape for the trip to the airport-my parents are taking us to the airport, no parking fees
- If we're traveling carryon-only and space is a potential issue, I "practice pack" and refine our packing list as needed-checking 2 bags
- Transfer Disney VISA rewards dollars to our Rewards card-DONE -$155 to be exact!
- Double-check flight schedules and information (and check in online the day before we fly)-YUP!
- Plan menus for the week that will use up all the perishables that are left in the refrigerator, so nothing will "go bad"-DONE!
- Give myself a pedicure, so I can look good in my sandals-My wife will be getting a mani/pedi this upcoming Tuesday :)

I flip through my assorted Disney books/ guides and make a list of hidden and not so hidden things that are in the parks I want to look for and find.
I make lists from others reviews of the snacks or food items throughout property I want to make sure I get to try.
I make sure weve stocked up on medicines and other items we might need ( aspirin, bandaids, sunscreen etc. ) so we dont have to buy them from the resort store.

I noticed that from your signature!!!! How are you anticipating the crowds overall?
By trying to convey to my family (and myself) that it will be a crowded affair and let's set out expectations accordingly. I want to enter this vacation with a somewhat laid back attitude, there's no need to rush, and infact there will be no way to rush and try to jam everything in. Just accept crowds and long lines. I say that to convince everyone but yet secretly hoping it won't be bad :)

putting the ADR and fastpasses on cue cards and laminating them (crazy but works for us). Making sure house is clean for return. Packing for everyone (husband does laundry and I pack it). Checking out items in dollar store to pass the time in lines. Downloading movies/ games to be entertained in lines. Watching Disney movies if there any ones we have missed. (watched Avatar last night and Coco is to be watched soon). Making sure everyone knows the crowds, reminder of the heat. Then sit back and enjoy the bliss of the vacation to come.

I will totally accept the crowds and long lines, but like you I am hoping it won't be so bad ;)

I always clean the house and wash vacation clothes so they can be packed early. Check my packing lists to make sure I have everything I need to take with us on the trip (water bottles, medicines, band aids, etc). Start putting items into organized, labeled plastic baggies (carry on liquids, checked liquids, medications, chargers). It also helps me remember if I'm leaving anything behind (like phone or camera charger). I charge the camera we'll take. Read trip reports from people already there to see if I need to alter any of my plans. My goal is to always have everything packed the day before we're supposed to leave so that all we have to do is to put needed items in our bags when we're done that morning. I'm definitely not one who waits until last minute to do anything :)
