4th of July - MK fireworks, where would you watch them from?

I can book ADRs today and I was thinking to keep 4th of July for AK and perhaps see the MK fireworks on 3rd.

So far I am thinking either DR in MK and try to book dessert package, or just get on with the crowds or book ADR at Ohana and see them at the breach. Will we be ok to stay for the Fireworks after the meal?

Were would you watch the 4th of July fireworks from?

The Poly is a spectacular view of the fireworks. On the 3rd and 4th they use all the side launchers. You do, however lose everything on the castle.

which one would you go for, and are people with ADR in ohana allowed at the beach or is it only guests at the resort?

You lose a lot of the stuff going on around you at the MK. You will be allowed on the beach to watch them, but not the pool area or tiki bar. I prefer the 4th and New Years fireworks from there. There are videos on you tube of both views.

What time ADR would you suggest? Honestly I have a feeling my family won't enjoy the fireworks from MK if it's jam packed. Less hectic sounds good

They fireworks times aren't posted that far out yet, but last year the fireworks started at 9PM. It depends where you plan on getting an ADR. Ohana takes longer than Kona Cafe.

I would honestly watch the 4th of July show from inside the park first, so you get the awesome reaction from everyone when "the rockets red glare". From that point on it's just a bonkers awesome ending.

Im going to be the outcast here.. don’t make reservations at Ohana. I’m pretty sure that security at Poly only allows guests of the resort to be on the beach during certain holidays.
All guests receive a wristband, or at least it was that way the last 2 years.. I think.

Poly or GF, is a good place to watch the show if you are not wanting to be in the parks. have dinner at 1800 park fare around 6 pm and should get you out in time to head down to water and watch show. we did that on the 4th last year. we watched the show from inside the park on the 3rd. Be ready for the crowds. I am not a doom and gloom guy when it comes to the crowd levels they are what they are just understand everything will take twice as long.

You can be on the beach, just not inside the fenced pool area. We parked at the T&T and walked over on the 3rd last year.
