Haunted Mansion Closed During Christmas Party

For the second year in a row now, the Haunted Mansion has been closed when we were at the Christmas Party. On both occasions we were told it was due to technical issues. Has anyone else encountered this during the Christmas Party? I'm beginning to think they may be deliberately closing it during the party.

Was there for the party on Sunday and the Haunted Mansion was most certainly open, rode it myself.
