Will the Dreamfinder ever return?

I have no idea why, but recently I’ve really been missing the Dreamfinder lately. Obviously, it seems and Imagination makeover is happening. Do any of the insiders know if the return of Dreamfinder or an attraction similar to the original is a possible future for the pavilion? Thanks.

One little spark is all it would take. Im a huge figment fan. im tempted to book a vacation for Halloween after this next trip and dress as dreamfinder ha! What would be cool is to have them expand that pavilion, and build a futuristic "dream port" and bring back dreamfinder!!!

I hope somebody at Disney actually tries to pitch an animated Journey Into Imagination animated movie that can give more interest to the characters and a reintroduction to them to a newer audience.

if they went all steampunk on it they could totally pull it off....
Basically the style of the comics. That would work well.
The Imagination refurb/replacement is proposed to open 2023 as it currently stands as per @marni1971 . They're still sitting on V4 (from mid-2000s?) with Dreamfinder as well as other options including a "no Figment" one.

Speculation: If I had to guess, we probably won't hear much until 3-4 years out. I would like to see a true successor or at least a equivalent ride to V1, even with the shortened ride length. Or maybe expand the pavilion out for a new ImageWorks? Hopefully the DVC lounge isn't permanent (as someone that's been there several times, it's loud, hot, and is almost always a mess) and they reuse the space again.

Nothing's definitive only that a refurb (should we actually get one) wouldn't likely be until 2023-24 or roughly 4-5 years out. Unless I'm mistaken. There's ideas about, many plans and tons of fan speculation but as far as I'm aware none of the proposals are greenlit at this point. Martin?

As it stands; Disney is well aware that fans want to see The Dreamfinder return. Any overhaul to the ride beyond a new IP replacement would most assuredly include Dreamfinder; what would be the point otherwise? It's just a waiting game at this point.

Will Dreamfinder ever return? A likely Yes! if they re-imagine Imagination. A likely No. If they close it indefinitely or replace with a new IP. The options are thankfully limited. I just can't imagine WDI not adding Dreamfinder in some capacity if they are actually planning a new.

Yep, that's why I said "proposed". https://forums.wdwmagic.com/threads...ots-future-world.907522/page-204#post-7778978 Anything could happen. They could blow it up and build a whole different pavilion there. But I'd hope no one there would be crazy enough to destroy the great looking glass pyramids. But that's what proposals are, nothing more then an idea until it gets the stamp of approval.

If Dreamfinder returns, this would be one of the few times that I'll be the nut that goes on opening day and will wait in what could be a 3 hour line. I'm the kind of person to turn away from a line if it's over an hour long too.

I'm sure there is a way to make Nigel Channing a full out Disney Parks Character Villian....And bring Dreamfinder in to stop him...
