Ferry From POR To DS: Which Dock?

We will be staying at POR for the first time this fall, and we will be taking the ferryboat from POR to DS and back. Does the ferry stop at all three launches at Disney Springs? There's a specific location in DS that we will be heading to the first time we are there, and if the ferry can drop us off at the launch that is closest to it, it would save us a bit of walking.

The POR ferry only docks at the Rainforest cafe side of DS.

There's also an internal water taxi that circles from the Marketplace -> West Side -> The Landing -> Marketplace. (At least I think that's the direction it goes.)
So, if this doesn't sound right, let me know : the launch that we would like to get to is the Landing dock, so if we took the ferry from POR to the Marketplace dock at DS, then took the water taxi to the Landing dock, it would save us a bit of walking, but probably take longer overall, especially if the water taxi goes from the Marketplace dock to the West Side dock first.

Generally speaking, yes. It all comes down to timing. If you happen to dock at the Marketplace just before a internal taxi shows up, you might save some time. Though if there's a line for the internal taxi, you'll have to go to the back of it. That said, once you are on the internal taxi, you won't need to disembark at the West Side dock. So it really boils down to how much walking vs. waiting you'd like to do.

We just got back from a 3 night stay at POFQ and have to say that the boat transportation was pretty bad. By pretty bad I mean that it was super crowded and took forever to get back to the hotel from Disney Springs. To hop on a boat at POFQ going to DS was no big deal, but after spending the evening at DS the line going back to POFQ was an hour long wait for a boat. Yikes! We asked about the new Minnie Van transport, but were told it is currently in Beta testing at some Deluxe hotels only right now. The good news is that it is free (yes, free) to use for those hotels while in testing. The dock at which to catch the POFQ and PORS boat is at the Marketplace. Good luck and have fun.

We'll be going to DS from POR shortly after we check in our first day (we have to go to Guest Services to get our park tickets validated, as we got the Canadian resident discount, and we've never been to DS, so we'd like to take a good look around), and we have an ADR at Wilderness Lodge after, so we'll most likely be taking the bus there from DS, so we may not be taking the boat back at all while we are at WDW. If there was a long line, we would definitely just take the bus back to the resort.

The Minnie Vans are not free during testing.
