Arrival Time For Mickey's Not So Scary?

One more question from the OP here-after our travel agent got us the MNSSHP tickets, she forwarded us an email from WDW, stating that we will need to bring the credit card, photo ID, and confirmation number to a WDW theme park ticket sales location to pick up our tickets. Having never needed to visit ticket sales at WDW, where do we go for this? Is this where we get our wristbands as well? Do the tickets go onto our magic bands? (I figured I'd ask on here instead of bugging our agent again lol).

You should be able to add your tickets to your magic band with the confirmation # you were given. Select "add tickets" on MDE.

We always went at 4:00. My kids were young and often pooped out around 10:00 and we would head back "home". My reasoning for going at 4:00 was to get at least a bit of our moneys worth since I knew we wouldn't make it to the end. Now it's just my DW and myself (sometimes the kids and significant others go) but for ourselves we have no interest in going. The kids can go if they want.

The family and I will be going to MNSSHP for the first time this year, on Halloween night. My question is, what would be the best time to arrive? We could go as early as 4 pm, if I'm not mistaken, but would it be better to wait a bit? Is there any advantage to getting there early? We want to spend the earlier part of the day at Disney Springs, which we have never been to, but I don't want to rush through an early dinner to get to MK by 4 pm, as we'll probably need to go back to our resort to change into our costumes first (well, maybe DW and DD-not sure if I'll be dressing up lol).

We went a couple years ago. We went home from the Magic Kingdom and changed into costume and returned around 3:30-4. The bus was loaded with people in costume. It was pretty cool. One woman had a golden Belle dress on that was amazing.

Anywho, we would not have even gone back to the resort were it not for the costume change.

See, we've never used regular park tickets on the same day as the party. That's our morning to sleep in, go swimming, and have lunch at some place more out of the way, like another resort. The people at Sanaa, for instance, don't mind if you show up in costume.

That's pretty much the plan we have in place. We're gonna spend some time at Disney Springs, have a late lunch there, then head over to MK for the party. That does mean that we will be wearing our costumes at DS, as we will not have much time to go back to the resort and change after lunch, so I really hope we're not the only ones walking around DS in the middle of the day in our costumes.o_O

I apologize if this has been discussed elsewhere but with the new restrictions on FP+ usage, how will this affect the party?

For Example, if I have a regular ticket and I want to go the park at 4PM and use my FP+ selections before the official 7PM time, will I be able to do so since they would have scanned my Party ticket?

You probably won't be, especially as it gets closer to 4 and you move towards the MK bus.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe, because the party doesn't start until 7, you can book FPs from 4-7, even if you only have the party ticket and no regular park ticket that day.

Interesting, even though I will have 2 tickets per magicband?

Yes, at least you could last year.
In fact, you could even book the FP windows for times before 4, before you would be allowed into the park. We booked space mountain for 3, which gave us just enough time to get back there and ride it. This was the only way to book all our allotted slots.

With the new revisions to the FP reservation rules, it is not yet clear whether this will still be allowed this year without regular park tickets.

Hi, sorry if this has already been discussed. I'm going to MNSSHP in September, and have 2 day park tickets, plus the party ticket linked to my MDE account. Since I won't be going to a park on the day we go to MNSSHP (arrival day) will I still be able to make fastpasses at my 60 day mark from 4-7 the day of the party, and also for my two park days after this? Is there a way to make sure when my magic band is scanned to enter the party at 4pm, that it isn't scanning one of regular park tickets?

I think there is a separate entrance for MNSSHP tickets, so I imagine they will not use a regular park ticket if you use that entrance.
