just wondering what u think is best way to change your money up?

We took about £200 of dollars from Tesco's travel desk as cash. Covers any snacks/food at airport, tips and tolls.

Then used Caxtonfx card, which is a currency card. Choose your currency, then register a UK debit card with it which you use to load your Caxton card with. The money loads in dollars, and you can reload as you need to. Money takes a couple of hours to load. No exchange fees to pay per transaction and you use it like a normal debit card. Can't spend more than you have loaded. So the only fee you pay is the conversion fee from your debit card.

We never needed to withdraw any more over 2 weeks but you can use it at atms if you want to.

We found in 2015 that Travellers cheques are accepted at less and less places. Often they had to get a manager to show the staff how to process them .

I have a credit card that doesn't charge extra for foreign exchange, and always order my cash from Travelex at the airport. If you order in advance they don't charge you commission.

If you're staying at a WDW resort, they link your credit card to your magic band, so that it's more "convenient" for you to buy things, so you end up using very little cash and may want to consider paying a few £ extra for a buy-back guarantee to convert any unused $ once you're back.

Remember you're going to need some one dollar bills to leave as tips for the people cleaning your room so use a big note for something on your first day to get the change (and I'd recommend taking your own luggage to your room on arrival if you haven't got small change yet, or it'll be awkward as you won't be able to tip the guy doing it).

That's ... actually a really good idea! I'm going to add that to my arsenal of "travel entertainment" (after all, there's only so far "Oh, look at those marvellous clouds!" is going to get me on that 9 hour flight) :D
