My last time ever seeing wishes

For the first time ever I saw a favorite show if mine knowing I would never see it again, it wasn't as sad as I thought it would be and it was completely imperfect. It down poured all the way up to 10 minutes of then started raining during the show. Although the it wasn't perfect it was probably the most memorable Disney moment I've had in a long time. It started in the first spot I have ever seen the show but it was so cloudy and smoky I couldn't see a single firework. As I'm running to the back of the castle I'm running thru the park like a little kid with can I go the distance blasting on the speakers I felt like I was in a Disney movie. As I made it to the carousel I I realized how close the pyro was and it was literally shooting over me. Although I had to run thru ankle deep puddles to get there it was probably the greates viewing I have ever had and just because of all of that will never forget it.

So many good memories watching Wishes from all around...every time was unique. I know I won't see it again. I'll miss it!

I just hope to god this new show delivers the same feel and the music gives me the chills, so far I'm not to sure about it. The bright side is that the show is 18 minutes long leaving some intro and finalize time before and after the scenery parts so hopefully I'll like this show better. I was hoping the new show would be themed off the Spectro music by that's not going to happen.

Wishes has been one of my favorite shows since it's introduction. You don't get the full head on effect, but we figured out years ago the uniqueness of watching Wishes from near the Carousel. It really is, in my opinion, the near perfect combination of Disney voices, music and fireworks.

This is such a fun image. I'm already bracing for the wife seeing it for the last time next month. We're already planning on sitting on the Hub for at least an hour beforehand to secure a spot. There isn't going to be enough Kleenex in all the land (or seven lands, for that matter)...

I was better than I ever imagined I would be, I thought I was going to see it once more after that but ended up staying at Epcot and leaving it off with that, plus I watched it from the resort and synced the music perfectly with the show, Same thing. Plus I know sooner or later I'm going to see Disneylands Remember.

All I can say is Wishes was the show I was longing for for in the late 90's/ early 2000's where the music was recorded by a full sounding orchestra with no baseline and dramatic sounding, I always wanted them to play a dramatic version of can I go the distance and have ground break shells on both sides of the castles and in 2003 I finally got the show I dreamt of, and now 13 years have already passed and its ending its run.

I guess I am missing something. Why are they replacing Wishes? It is a perfect combination of all things Disney over the last 70+ years. It looks like there are a lot of more recent movies that are going to get some love here. That's fine, but they should keep "When you Wish Upon a Star" in there and such. I always thought "Wishes" and in Disneyland "Magical" were the two best shows with the best feel and music. Why replace a near perfect thing?
