Ticket question

Hello all, we are sorta planning on visit MK in late March on a premium day. With the soon to be ticket price increase likely happening, I'm thinking of getting our tickets now. However, if we don't visit WDW on that trip in March, will we be able to use our MK tickets on a non premium day later in the year? The Disney website doesn't spell it out too clearly. Thanks in advance.

Hmm, seems cut and dried to me:

The 1-Day Ticket: Magic Kingdom Park is valid for one admission to Magic Kingdom park on a date that is valid for the ticket type (Peak, Regular or Value).

On a date that is valid for the ticket type means you cannot use it on a different type. Simple.

Correct me if I am wrong, and maybe I am reading your question wrong, but there is no premium ticket day as of right now. If you purchase tickets today you can use them anytime in the future. They only start counting once you go through the turnstiles. I pre-purchased tickets in November from Parksavers when they had a sale but won't use them until May.

I called Disney a couple of weeks ago with the exact question for a multi-day pass. The answer I was given is that there is NO expiration date, however once the ticket is first used you have 14 consecutive days until it expires. I bought my tickets for a September trip for the exact same reason.

Though be aware that expiration on unused tickets appears to be coming in the next ticket price increase. (Presumably the *value* won't expire but you won't be able to guard against price increases beyond a year or two)

If you buy a 1-day peak ticket, you can use it on any day you chose. If the day you chose happens to be a value or regular day, you will just be loosing money. If however, you bought a 1-day value ticket, you would be able to pay the difference if you wanted to use it on a regular or peak day.

This has been the way it has worked for years. I think the OP is talking about a one day ticket which falls into the tiered pricing policy.
