Archery experience @ Fort Wilderness

I did this in 2015 with my parents; thought it'd be something different for them to do. I was initially concerned due to my Mom having recently had wrist surgery, but she loved it! No problems with the compound bows. The instructors were patient and experienced. There were only 5 of us in the group so we got a couple extra rounds. It was well worth every dollar.
The hardest part was getting to the Bike Barn, so give yourself a little extra time to figure that out. ;)

Have done this 3 times, and as already mentioned, it is really worth it. We are actually looking at buying equipment ourselves so that we can do it more often. We have also had our 8 year old niece go with us and she had a blast! Instructors will really take the time to help you out if you need it. We're hooked!

It is in behind the Meadow Trading Post, I believe - there is an internal bus stop right outside. Not sure which route runs there, but when you get off the Disney transport at Fort Wilderness, the internal buses are right there - I would ask the first driver you get, and take whichever bus you are told. get off at the Meadow Trading Post, walk through to the back exit, and you will see the pond - Archery takes place just back behind there, close to where they have the Campfire and Movie. We always stayed at the cabins and had a golf cart, so I really can't tell what internal bus to take, sorry...

This is the area from Google:

We stayed at the Wilderness Lodge, took the boat over to the Ft. Wilderness marina, then a bus to the Bike Barn. There are announcements on the bus that let you know the stops, but I think it was the Purple Loop -- or not. ;) There are maps at all the stops though. You can also walk if you're up for it.

One Little Spark...
Ive done it. It Is lots of fun. Do be aware, though, it is contingent on the weather cooperating, and if you get rained out, there are no refunds (happened to me one trip).

I wouldnt let that turn you off to it, but be aware.

As others noted, youll go to the Meadow Trading Post / Bike Barn. Internal shuttles can take you here. The meetup area will be behind the Meadow Trading Post, and then the group will take a short walk over to the range.

The whole experience takes about an hour.

If it wasn't already covered by now. We did this twice and had a great time doing it. The staff were professional and understanding with all ages of guests.

They had a safe routine that everyone had to follow for safety.
If there is inclement weather then it will be cancelled but there is plenty to do while at the resort.
