I have not been able to book the dessert party, doesn't seem like it will open up, so looks like we're on our own with parade viewing now.

Please tell me the "best" spots and how early we need to camp out.

Thanks in advance!!!!

Depends on your tolerance for late hours, the second parade is always the least attended. If you want the full meal deal (stage show, Castle mapping show, fireworks, and parade from one place, then you've got the end of Main Street and the hub as your only real locations to choose from.

Oh I forgot that I wanted to ask about that.

Stage Show/Castle Lighting is a must, but we can wait to see the second parade. What is the best course of action for that? We are going to do every show listed for the event except for 1.

Frontierland is less crowded on a Party night and it's where the parade kicks off. Grab some food 20 minutes ahead of time and sit along the tape line and you'll be fine. Plan to remain seated for the sake of the people behind you. If you don't like sitting on the ground, bring an inflatable tube/cushion. By being in Frontierland, you're not waiting an additional 20 minutes for the parade to get to you and as soon as it's passed, you can get up and do other things while the majority of the park is still watching the parade pass by.

Great advice. In all our years of going, we have never staked out a spot for parades or fireworks more than five to ten minutes before the start. It used to crack me up seeing people already sitting in their spots for Illuminations two or three hours early. Later, we would come up behind them just a few minutes before the show starts and see the same same thing they did, only behind them, or at most two or three deep. We always preferred park time to sitting around waiting for fireworks or parade time.
Of course, having seen all the parades and shows many, many times, being up front has not mattered to us for years. Someone who has never seen it might think differently, I'm sure.

Thanks! Will we still see the "snow"?

I've never waited for a parade either. I've always been fine standing behind people..until I had a 5 year old with me.. then I became a fan of dessert parties and dining packages.lol.

The MVMCP parade does look really neat and I want to make sure kiddo has a good view, but 20mins would be our max wait time.

Yes you will see the "snow" all night on Main Street. Not during the parade though. :)

Crap... everyone stole my thunder. So I'll just say 'yeah, what they said!'

It is ridiculous how much things like the MVMCP brings out the kid in me... I don't know what I'm more excited about - seeing the projection show again, or the fact that they have 4 or 5 different cookies for the party this year! Woohoo! :D

I was SOOOOOO looking forward to seeing 'Star Wars - A Galactic Spectacular' at HS... but instead HS is jumping on the seasonal show bandwagon with 'Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!'. Which is conveniently scheduled for 15 mins before Fantasmic! Luckily we have an extra day, so I think we can wander back to see the one we miss on the day we visit HS.

Other posters - any suggestions for best viewing spots for Jingle BAM?
