Short trip schedule: cali grill or no?

Hello. My dh and i will be down at wdw for a short 2 day trip, planning to split ak/mk on arrival day (morning arrival) then doing dhs emh/epcot the second day. I originally wasnt going to plan any adrs since we didnt want to waste park time in a restaurant. Last week i snagged a 9:30 ressie for cali grill on our mk night. I am debating whether or not to keep it.

Pros:
Adult trip, adult restaurant, something we wouldnt do w our toddler in tow on our trip next year (unless we convince the grands to watch him for a night)
Fireworks from the restaurant would be unique
Yummy food!

Cons:
Less park time at mk. Mk is open til midnight, but we would probably only be able to do a few rides before and after the ressie.
Would probably only do apps/dessert since its so late
Missing the projection show (which will be brand new!!) i loved celebrate the magic and will be a little bummed to not watch the new show.
$$$$

So what are everyones thoughts? Keep the ressie but sacrifice mk time for something a little more adult? Or cancel for more park time in an already short trip.

IMO I would skip it, especially with MK being open till 12. If it closed earlier I would say do it, but all things considered I would skip now and definitely plan it in for next time.

Suggestion: Grand Floridian Cafe - lovely/quiet/adorable perfect place for adults and not expensive. Make a 6pm ADR, hit the monorail, you will be back to MK by 8 to enjoy the new projection show, fireworks, and 4 more hours of fun!

This is what i am leaning towards! It would be better when we can enjoy the entire meal experience instead of just apps. Plus more park time!!
