Disney Parks Moving Back to Resort Specifc Cups

Please tell me they are finally ditching the generic Disney Parks plates.

I hope everything goes back to being resort specific. Not sure if napkins and plates have anything to do with this but I'm glad that TDO and TDA aren't attached at the hip anymore. Had this initiative started last year, SWL would probably have that third attraction. If this is Chapeks decision, it's at least one thing he got right.

This change was made at Disneyland back in 2015. This news appears to be simply WDW catching up with the Disneyland standard.

It was ? I didn't notice. Do you mean the Diamond celebration logo?
Yes. This one that debuted in April, 2015.

The change also extended to plates, napkins, shopping bags, etc.

Oh ok. I didn't really take that as a permanent change in direction as the 60th was a unique circumstance and only applies to Disneyland.

It was temporary, but I think we all knew they weren't going back to the generic Jay Rasulo "Disney Parks" crap. The 60th ended in September and the paper goods were immediately replaced with new Disneyland-branded HalloweenTime versions like this for cups, popcorn, etc.

Instead of the generic Disney Parks junk they had been using a few years ago at Halloween.

Gotcha. That's a different story. I haven't been to the park since early August so I hadn't seen any of the new popcorn containers etc. I think it's a good step in the right direction. Especially if it's part of the bigger plan I read earlier this year in regards to TDA and TDO being independent of each other.
