BOG Reservation on MNSSHP Night

I'm getting conflicting information on a few other boards, so I thought I'd post here and see what you all have to say.

I have a BOG reservation for 6:30pm on the night of the first MNSSHP, and do not plan on attending the party. Upon calling guest services, the CM told me I'd be fine and wouldn't have to leave until we were done with dinner...which is what I thought was the case in the past.

Others are telling me that the CM is wrong since the BOG site schedule reads that the last regular reservation is at 6:20pm. That I will get turned away AND charged the non-cancellation fee when I arrive at the podium.

Does anyone have any firsthand experience with this? I'd rather change my plans now and let my kids know than risk disappointing them on the day of. They've been wanting to dine there since it opened. Thanks!

I don't have first hand experience of this, but as far as I know, Be Our Guest seats non party ticket holders until 6:15pm. At 6:20pm it switches to party ticket holders.

It seems you are in one of these situations where it could go either way, and likely depending on the individual CM that handles it.

To be absolutely safe and have no potential uses, I would change plans.

As like wdwmagic, I don't have personal experience, but I have been at the party and have seen CM's walking groups toward the Park Exit. These were people that had late reservations and no party ticket. So they do have something in place for those who make late reservations. I know there were threads last year about this because it got pretty heated, lol.

I'll have to search for those threads, then. I honestly don't mind leaving/being escorted out immediately after dinner. Not trying to cheat the system, but just have always wanted to dine there. Thanks!

Again, like @wdwmagic said, it may all depend on your reservation time.

The threads you're looking for may not exist. Basically, they went into people booking up til 6:55 (since the park is open til 7), then sticking around for the party (or seeing things that they shouldn't be, because they are still in the park after the party has already started). We don't need another one of those threads, but based on that review, you could see how it got ugly quick.

Why don't you call Disney and ask to speak directly with BOG or MK Guest Services? They should be able to give you a more precise answer. That being said, several years back, our family ate at the castle on a night of MNSSHP - without having party tickets. I didn't mean to plan it that way - it just happened that was the only ADR I could get and when I booked it, the CM said it was perfectly fine, but we would have to leave the park after dinner. I didn't have a problem with that - I wasn't trying to "sneak" into the party - so I kept it because my daughter wanted to have dinner with the "mice". Yep - not Cinderella, but the mice! We left the restaurant and they asked if we were staying for the party. We said no - we were leaving. They told us we needed to be escorted out so we had to wait. However, I guess the parade was taking place because they made us wait until the parade was completely done. It felt like forever - we waited at least an hour - and it was very uncomfortable. It was a mistake I would not want to repeat - no matter how bad we wanted to eat at at restaurant. I wish I had done more research before I booked it that year.

6:15 is the cut off for non-party guests. Without a party ticket and a reservation at 6:20 more than likely you will be turned away.

This post basically sums it up.

If dining on the edge of the cut off, you might be OK, but are likely to face some degree of inconvenience.
