Tomorrow we can order our breakfast and lunch meals at BOG on MDE. Is it a huge time saver or does it not really matter? And if we choose to do that do we just walk in and they let us sit down? Who has ordered early before and did you like it? Thank you!

I've never been for breakfast, but we did lunch on our trip last September and are planning to again this year (actually just placed our BOG order online this morning!). I highly recommend ordering on MDE beforehand, because the line for the kiosks to order in the castle can back up a lot. We just walked in, paid for our order, and sat down with no trouble.

Good to know! I didn't even think about the kiosks backing up. Looks like we will be ordering early. Thanks!

Definitely order in advance. Huge time saver ~ sometimes the line to order at the kiosks backs up outside down the bridge. Guests who have pre-ordered skip the line and pay at a designated register. Then you are free to find a table in any of the dining rooms.

Thank you! I'm going to place our order tomorrow!!

I ALWAYS preorder at BOG and yes it makes a huge difference.... You usually get to bypass a significant line of people waiting to get to the kiosk to order. My food has always came out right and it makes the experience so much more magical :)

So happy I asked because I was thinking of no ordering early!!! Thank you!

Yea, definitely agree with others. Pre-ordering is a great way to save time. You basically get to head right to your table (skipping the que to order) plus if you change your mind last minute you can still change your order.

How early are you able to pre-order? I have a reservation for 9/12, and I haven't seen that option pop up yet. (Guessing tomorrow since it will be one month out?)

That is exciting. In our My Disney Experience account (accessing it from computer) it says "Place Your Order Starting..." and gives the date. The date it gives is 30 days from the actual reservation so you should be able to soon :-) Enjoy!

Now here is another question, can I place the order for our entire party? My brother and sister in law are coming and have a separate MDE account but are on the BOG reservation with us. We do have them all linked together for planning and fast passes, and we can see each others reservations.

Yes you can place the order for the entire party but you will also have to pay for the whole order. If this is a problem, your brother and SIL should place their order separately (the preorder option *should* appear in their MDE account too.)

Can you use your dining plan or to use that do you need to wait?

When you order in advance, can you make special requests? For example, could I request no horseradish sour cream on DD's roast beef sandwich?
Yes, there is an option for no horseradish. We use it all the time. :D

You don't pay when you order in advance; you pay (cash or dining credit) at the register. The advance order will show the amount owed (excluding tax). At the register, the pre-order must be done in one transaction (pay for all or use dining credits for all.)

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
For me it shows up under my reservations on the MDE app. I'm using my computer to do it. So tomorrow I will just click the link and order I'm assuming.

Just note you cannot pre order 30 days from the start of your trip as others noted already. You can pre order 30 days from the ACTUAL RESERVATION DAY for BOG. I am assuming your breakfast and lunch is not on the same day but I know it might be. So if tomorrow is your 30 day mark from the ressie happy ordering!! It's a huge time saver as others mentioned and we always pre order. Also you can always change your mind when they check you in inside they will ask if you have any changes to your order and can do it right from the iPad device they use to check you in inside. ;)
