east coast drivers that leave WDW at night...

Wife and I tossing around a trip next year. Possibly driving since I've opted to become incredibly cheap.

We're from North NJ (Bergen County specifically). We're thinking we'd leave around 6 pm on a friday after we got out of work. And also leave WDW around the same time.

For those that leave WDW at night and have to head up the east coast, what time do you usually hit DC?

The long leg of our usual trip is from Tyson's Corner, VA (just outside DC) to WDW and vice versa. It's about 850 miles and we've done that trip at all hours. Best time to date is just over 12 hours door to door, which is driving straight through with only very brief stops for gas & restroom, at a max speed of about 77mph. No matter when you leave there's always something that slows it down a little - random construction or an accident, something. Speed enforcement is pretty consistent night and day, so we don't go wild even when traffic permits.

We hit the DC area in close to 12 hours. That was with some traffic slow ups due to small accidents, and brief stops for gas etc. Be aware that traffic was still fairly heavy getting through Orlando on the way out so it was slow going at first.
