'Thank you' birthday gift to parents

Super sorry that I forgot to include this in my last thread! Beyond anything being done for myself, I want to surprise my parents with a 'return' birthday gift. It seems only fair - I wouldn't even be having a birthday, much less at Disney, without them. :) Is there anything special Disney can do to help me surprise them? Maybe something paired with the king and queen archetype? Can't find anything quite along the lines of "thank you for raising me and being wonderful parents" experiences, lol.

Thank you so so so much for any insight! Again, hope everyone's having an amazing day!

Something can be arranged through a Disney special events coordinator, but it will be costly. I worked through them for some b-day & anniversary surprises for my DW. You can also arrange for a variety of gift items to be delivered to your resort through disney floral & gifts. I have used them as well and there are a variety of gift packages that are affordable and some more pricey. You could also surprise them with a Disney tour or other experience you arrange for them to enjoy during your time on property.

Speaking as a parent I would be grateful if my DS treated his Mom and me to a nice dinner at one of the signature restaurants such as California Grill, Yachtsman Steakhouse or Jiko. Then again I'd be grateful if he remembered to pick up socks or do a load of laundry but I digress. Seriously a nice dinner and a heartfelt thank you will go a long way.

Yes! They might really appreciate a nice dinner and then maybe order them a little cake and have two crowns put on it. Check the cake thread. I think it's in the restaurants and dining section on WDWmagic.

What about getting a nice/special frame and putting in a picture (or pictures) of the three of you together with a simple card where you write the sweet message you've put in your post. As a parent, I am always telling my child that pictures help remind us of trips/days/experiences that we might otherwise not always think about. If you get a frame with multiple pictures you could put pictures from various important moments (your parents holding you as a baby, first day of school, etc) or if there have been multiple disney trips you could make it disney themed only and choose pictures them from the various trips. As I write this and look around my living room I am able to see pictures of myself at various key moments with my own mom as well as my myself with my own child (who just gave me my Mother's Day gift that she made at school ) and they all bring back great memories. Or along the same idea, you could make a photobook - there are many options out there - my sister uses Shutterfly, which has Disney-themed options among a variety of other themes. She makes one for me every year, recounting the life of my child as she experiences it thru the pictures I take.

Regardless of what surprise you come up for them, make sure you have some tissues ready - I suspect tears of pride at having raised such a fantastic child will be forthcoming

Disney floral & gifts definitely does some amazing stuff! They can be a bit pricey but my sister surprised me with the Mickey and Friend's Ultimate Birthday Celebration but if you're looking to do something a bit fancier or more geared towards adults, they also have so many other amazing in-room celebrations as well as one's you can customize to fit your wants and price range.
If you take a lot of pictures especially with Photopass after the trip you can surprise them with a photo album [I'm doing the same thing as a going away present for my mom!].
If you're still looking to do something special while you're on the trip, like others mentioned, a nice dinner would probably make them really happy! Staying with the queen and king theme, Akershus is a great place to go for dinner because of the princesses and it's absolutely beautiful inside. If you want something a bit more upscale, we loved Jiko and Narcoossee's'.
Best of luck :)
