Offer Email - different last name

Years ago we used to have a cast member friend book our room stays to get their discount. Ever since then, we get the offer emails with the Unique Offer Code. When we look online, we always have to enter our friends last name, but our zip code.

Question is - can we book a room using this without needing their last name anywhere in checkout? Or does the system force it?

Thanks!

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
From my understanding the name has to match any pin code offers etc. :(. But I have never tried it myself so others may be able to chime in. :)

Thanks for the info. I can confirm that this is the case - it has to be booked under the name on the offer.

So I called the number to talk with a cast member and got a very nice lady. She looked into it further and even escalated it up to Guest Services. Turns out we had our cast member friend's name in my profile. So the system was sending her offers to our email address and address. Guest Services was able to put in the request to get her name removed and gave us a file# to call back in to get the offer.

In listening to the woman on the phone it sounds like their systems are a mess. She showed multiple profiles for me even though I never created them, my kids ages listed differently multiple times.

Overall, a good call - long over an hour - but in the end good.

I agree on the systems being a mess! I called once and they said I was listed as a cast member... I've never been a cast member.

Did you get an offer today? I got my first ever pin code today! Very exciting!

Yeah the magic file number is supposed to allow me to get the offer from the email. Up to 30% off and free park hopper on 6+ day tickets.

And Guest Services came through - was able to use the magic file # to book our August trip this morning with the discount!

We usually get the 30% off either through Disney Visa or the regular summer discount - but the added savings of the free park hopper was great!
