Genies lamp at Aladdin & Jasmine M&G

I was just at Jasmine & Aladdins M&G, and my sister asked to rub the lamp and it had a story on the lamp but it had our city on it. How did it know? Magicbands?

Finally, it works. The lamp was installed actually a few years ago.

Well that's cool! I really hope they do more of that type of stuff with magic bands. They have such potential but aren't being used in the right ways (other than at test track). At least this is a start.

I'd be interested to see a picture. Did it just randomly have the city on it? Or was it incorporated or told in some way that makes sense? I've never seen the lamp so can't really imagine what that looked like.

It was scrolling on the lamp. Aladdin & Jasmine I think read some of it out loud though, but I wasn't paying attention to them. Lol
