Tokyo Dining for NYE Illuminations - Chances of a window table?

Just managed to snag a 10:50PM ADR for tomorrow night at Tokyo Dining. What are my chances of getting a window table to view the midnight Illuminations? Are my chances improved by arriving earlier or offering to wait a little longer?

Arrive 15 mins early ask & say you are prepared to wait, however tables are very limited & they will only allow you to wait for a short amount of time as they want to get the food served in good time & they will only allow you wait at all if they think there is a realistic chance that such a table will become available. They do pause when serving your food if you are still eating when the fireworks start. Be aware the entire contents of the restaurant will stand up & come to the windows to watch anyway so a window seat isn't critical. Well done for getting such a good reservation at this late stage. I wish it was me instead of you.

It's hard to do on a regular night as I know from experience (even requesting and willing to wait) so it probably will not happen but hey Disney Magic happens every day in WDW! Be prepared that it won't happen so if it does so much the better!!

We'll be indoors away from the crowds enjoying what I'm hearing is some pretty serviceable sushi (though nothing compared to our dinner at Cali Grill two nights ago) with a chance to see my favorite Disney show of all time leading up to midnight. Sounds pretty magical to me!

You have the right attitude as yes it will still be magical! The sushi is delicious! My 2 fave places for sushi on property are Cali Grill and Tokyo Dining. And yes your right you will be indoors in a lovely restaurant instead of fighting those crowds or the weather.
