Peter Angelos is a joke anyway. I'm looking forward to him not willing to spend any money to bring anyone in till it's too late.

Speaking of money, David Price got 7 yrs/217 mil from Boston. He probably coulda gotten that from a better team, sadly.

I wonder if the market for hitters goes crazy now too.

Jordan Zimmermann could have gotten $20-40 million more if he had just waited a week or two. He's way better than Samardzija.

Darren O'Day is reportedly staying with the Orioles at 4 years, $31 million. The Nats were probably only willing to offer 3 years.

Dodgers reportedly trading two prospects to Reds for Aroldis Chapman.

Edit: Dodgers apparently backing off after learning of domestic violence incident from background check. There's also a report that the Red Sox traded for Craig Kimbrel instead of Chapman because they learned of this October incident.

Orioles and Chris Davis reportedly have agreed on 7 years and $161 million.

The Orioles' offer to Cespedes probably scared Davis into accepting a small increase over the offer that had been there for months.

Id say it has more to do with teams not budging on him wanting to be paid like an outfielder. There were rumors going around he was wanting close to 200 mil.
