Broadway-Style "Frozen" Show Coming to DCA - Any impact on WDW?

Probably already a thread on this somewhere or might already be discussed in some other thread, so I apologize if that's the case. But for anyone that missed it, a Broadway-style version of Frozen is coming to DCA in 2016. What with all the rumors and changes happening at Hollywood Studios aka The "Everything Frozen" Park, has anyone heard any rumblings about this show making it's way to Studios? Could it possibly be a replacement for VotLM, BatB, or a daytime show for the Hollywood Hills Amphitheatre? Will it have any effect on the Frozen Sing Along?

They were going to replace Aladdin before with a Toy Story show and the fans revolted. This was pre-Cars Land and the Aladdin show was the best attraction in the park. I still argue it's second only to Radiator Springs Racers right now. Look, we all understand that Frozen is an enormous franchise and needs to be in the parks, but how about they actually do it right instead of taking away the best stage show in theme park history or ruining World Showcase?

Edit.... a little surprised my comment on the blog got approved:
You tried to do this a few years ago with Toy Story and the fans revolted. Aladdin is second only to Radiator Springs Racers for attractions in this park and you’re getting rid of it?

Frozen deserves an attraction, but not at the cost of the best stage show Disney has ever done.

If they close the sing-a-long at DCA then that would be a good indication that the sing-a-long might swap out at DHS too.

The sing a long isn't what's closing in DCA for this show. It's aladdin. The sing along is currently in the Muppetvision theater.

I know.
But I also don't see them running two Frozen shows. Hopefully when the Frozen show opens in the Hyperion the sing-a-long closes (and Muppets or something re-opens). then hopefully the sing-a-long gets swapped out at DHS to the new show.

If one does come to DHS it would probably go into the new flex theatre currently being built in between ToT and RnRC. Looking at it from the RnRC queue, it looks pretty big. I'd guess it is about the same size as the Hyperion Theatre at DCA. I wouldn't think it would affect BatB. Since this is replacing Aladdin at DCA, then it will likely be an hour long show. One hour is too long to sit in the Florida heat and humidity so that's why I doubt it would affect the BatB show. The new theatre currently under construction would probably be perfect for a Broadway style show....and I'd prefer to see the Aladdin show go there versus Frozen, but I doubt that would happen.

The Frozen sing a long packs in the crowds, so an actual Broadway style Frozen show would definitely need a larger theatre. This is probably why they are building the new theatre. This show would be a huge draw. Something big like this would be needed before they demolish the Indiana Jones theatre to prep for the Star Wars land.

From everything being said I don't expect anything permanent to go in the Flex theatre. The fact it is a flexible theatre means it can host different things so it will proably just be for the corporate hire stuff, cheerleading etc. This allows them to demolish the other theatres (premiere and Indiana Jones) to build Star Wars.

The BatB show is already rumoured to get enclosed and host a villains show.

Additionally, Aladdin at DCA is changing after 12 years. BatB has been showing for 24 years, Little Mermaid for 23 years and Indianna Jones for 26 years. DHS needs new shows!!

Disgusting.

Aladdin is a wonderful show, and the best theme park show currently running , and now it's getting the ax for more Frozen nonsense.
It's the best theme park stage show ever made.

I can't think of an attraction going away that bothered me more. My fandom wasn't at the heights it is now when beloved Epcot attractions closed. This was the best thing in DCA before Radiator Springs Racers, and is still second only to that in the park. This is different than the Maelstrom replacement, the objection there was that it didn't fit. This fits in a thematically confusing area at DCA, but it's replacing a classic. It's on par with replacing the Jungle Cruise for me.

Why not replace Aladdin with Mary Poppins? I am of the mindset- "anything BUT Frozen".

Of course, I do find it to be ironic that while Disney announced this for DCA, a small fire broke out in the Norway area being constructed for Frozen over in the East at Epcot. Or maybe it was karma? Most comments on the official Parks Facebook page about this topic are negative.

Why is there a Little Mermaid ride in New Fantasyland? Why did they choose a 25 year old film instead of something more recent?

I don't see why people have problems with Disney using recent films to make rides & shows. Assuming the sing-a-long closes (as two shows on Frozen would be stupid) then they are replacing a 12 year old show based on a 20 year old film with a new show based on a new film.

Hollywood Studios at WDW should have done this 15 years ago as well. In fact the Theater in the Wild has changed shows when new films came out (Jungle Book, Tarzan, Nemo) more than the theatres at DHS.
