Went to check my campus email to see if classes were cancelled at all for today. Instead I found an email saying that my professor for my night class can't wait to meet us and is excited to see us tonight. Not quite what I was looking for.

It's a new college goal. Rack up as many unplanned days off as possible and get a degree anyway. It's a gateway to public assistance.

Some professors just randomly cancel classes because they can't make it. Last semester one of my professors cancelled her first week of classes. But hearing what she was like, and then actually having her, it didn't surprise her. And I get to have her for Monday night classes this semester, too! Which is okay, because I hear she keep you for about 30 minutes of the 3 hour time frame, and she cancels half of the classes. And because it's a night class, that makes it even better!

And now I just entered a contest to win tickets to the Packers home opener against the Seahawks. I'm a lock to win, right?

I never cancelled the first day of classes. But on September 5 and 6 1995 I had my assistant take them to the computer lab on their first day, so I could go to the Orioles' games.
