So true. We just hang out at TL or BB and watch everyone else leave until the storm blows by then we have all the slides with almost zero wait time since everyone else left. Our first (with kids) trip was in July - my parents, my family and my sister's family all went. My husband had never been to Florida in the summer. My sister and I had been many times since my grandparents lived there and we visited them twice a year growing up. We had decided to go in the pool one afternoon and when we got to the room the sky turned black and started raining buckets. My sister and I were un-phased, continuing to get the kids in their bathing suits and sun-screened for the pool. My husband said, "you know it's raining - we can't swim now". My sister and I looked at each other, laughed, and said by the time we are done getting ready the storm will be gone. And by the time we got down to the pool it was sunny. And that's the story of how hubby learned about Florida weather. Not quite a exciting as the Purple Wombat, but it's all I got.
