Question re 180 + 10

I understand how this works in the sense that, if you are staying at a Disney resort, you can make ADRs 180 days in advance of the first date of your trip, and you can then book ADRs for the succeeding 10 days. I get all that. What I'm unclear about, however, is, when I am booking my ADRs online, how does the website know when your vacation starts, such that you are afforded the opportunity to make selections for the next 10 days as well?

Thanks so much for any assistance that you can provide! As always, it's much appreciated!

Anyone can make ADR's at 180. You don't have to stay at a Disney resort. You simply can't start making ADR's until 180 days from any date. I believe the 10 days may be for resort guests only. You may have to make one day at a time if not a resort guest.

You would need to be logged into your account on the website and your resort reservation linked to your account. That's how the website knows what your dates are, and therefore when your 180+10 comes into play.

If you try to make reservations without being logged in, or without a resort reservation, you can still makes ADRs 180 days out - but only for that date, not the +10.

Thank you so much! That makes total sense, and now I will know how to do it. Again, much appreciated.
