Imagine my surprise (An ADR tale)

So the wife and kids mentioned something about wanting to eat at the Crystal Palace if possible in September. Well, I didn't originally place an ADR there because they're not really breakfast people. I told them that there was little possibility of getting something so they wouldn't get their hopes up.

Lo an behold, there was an 8:40 slot open on one of our MK days, so I grabbed it up. The plan is to show up around 8ish and check in and hope they can seat us earlier. Either way I'm happy, as I am very much a breakfast person.

I just got Be Our Guest dinner for this Friday, this morning. My mind is blown.

I just got Be Our Guest dinner for this Friday, this morning. My mind is blown.

Not as mind-blowing as you might think. After a certain point, reservations tend to open up as you get closer, since people solidify their plans. There's availability for breakfast, lunch, and dinner tomorrow.

Nice. So glad when things work out. I've enjoyed their breakfast buffet in the past, L& D buffets more so. Hope the quality has remained good and you all enjoy the experience.

I think it's been at least 4 trips since we went to CP, but we're looking forward to returning. It's just that over the last few trips we've started sleeping in later and later. Plus, the wife and kids (daughter mostly) aren't big breakfast eaters. Me, I'm hungry around the clock.

This is true. I was there the last week in June and was able to book a Thursday night Be Our Guest dinner reservation the night before. (And had the opportunity to get Wednesday night as well.)
