May is verdant, May is exciting, May is filled with fun food holidays:
Other foods to honor: National Raisin Week and National Herb Week are the first week of the month, National Hamburger Week the second week of the month, International Pickles Week the third week, and both National Frozen Yogurt Week and American Beer Week concurrently in the fourth week.
And it should come as no surprise that National Barbecue Day and National Hamburger/Cheeseburger Day both fall on Memorial Day Monday.

You'll be there for the longest days of the year. They should charge more for the extra daylight.
They're really generous not to. Look at all the revenue they could be bringing in, instead their selfless acts are helping out their valued guests that they care so much about. This is why I only go to Disney instead of that icky nature stuff.

@Nemo14, can you share some memories from your golden birthday?
If you mean today's, it started with my usual getting up at 5 ish because Mom thought it was time to get up. Then eventually I made her breakfast consisting of a bowl of oatmeal and some banana slices with a glass of orange juice. DH sat with her while she ate those so that I could go and clean the commode that she uses during the night, then make her bed and get out her clothes for the day...
On the bright side, DS and his wife are here and we'll see DD and her hubby tomorrow since we are all going to my nephew's wedding.

I was actually trying to make a joke about your 1st birthday, since nobody can remember back that far, but I failed to successfully do that.

But it sounds like you have an eventful day or two coming up. Should be a nice change of pace!

On an unrelated note, I have to go get ready for work now. Talk to you all later!

Do raisins really deserve a whole week?

Do you have to go in disguise? Last I heard you were no longer welcome at WDW! Maybe you can go as a big green dumpster... they'll never recognize you then.
