The Kitchen Sink Dilemma!!!

We have an ADR for Beaches and Cream and were planning on using a TS credit each from the DDP but are considering oop for one reason - the Kitchen Sink. Is it worth it? The No Way Jose sundae looks so good but the grilled banana bread sounds delish too, in fact it all sounds amazing! If we were to go oop I was thinking of splitting 2 meals between the four of us (2 adults, 2 kids) to leave room for the Kitchen Sink or do we just stick with the DDP and order a main and sundae each? Dilemma!!!

If we do go for our own desserts, what would you recommend? Thanks!!

Do the Kitchen Sink. It's pretty good, but more than anything it's fun and an experience. You can always go back some other time and one of the regular sundaes. The kids will love it. My daughter still talks about it often. In fact we are going back to B&C on our upcoming trip to try something else ourselves.

I agree the Kitchen Sink is a memorable experience and just major fun! I liken it to the first time we went to HDDR - my stomach hurt from all the laughing and we have great photos of everyone at the table playing the washboards with spoons. Priceless memories.

I can't do the Kitchen Sink but would really love to. My wife went with several friends recently and they loved it. Part of that was just the fun experience and that it is something quite different. One hint, you can have the scoop of mint ice cream substituted with something else or just left out as the mint seems to overpower some of the other flavors, or so I am told. Disregard that hint if you like mint.

I would totally swap the mint but husband and eldest son would never forgive me - their favourite!

Leaning towards paying oop as it allows one other sit down meal and we can finally try Boma at AKL. Really want to look round the resort but have never had a chance to get over there. Think we'll hop over there after we finish at AK. We were going to go to DTD and get a QS meal there but am thinking we may use TS credits at Boma then a few hours window shopping at DTD.

Boma is fantastic..one of our favorites. Jiko is great too, as is Sanaa at Kidani.

Try to get to AKL while it is still light out so you can check out the animals. Give yourself an hour before you eat. That's what we do and we find it works.

Have made a 4:30 reservation after our day at AKL. Planning to eat (a lot!!) then have a walk round the public areas and grounds then get a bus to DTD to carry on walking off some of the 10,000+ calories consumed!!

With that done we are oop at Beaches and Cream and have settled on splitting 2 mains and then setting to work on the kitchen sink. Hoorah!!!

Thanks guys!
