I am booked for cabana bay beach resort for September and was wondoring on people's experinces that have stayed there I read many reviews on the hotel mostly good but some bad and was hope people that have stayed there wouldn't mind sharing there experinces of the hotel of what they thought of the food facility's and of course what the rooms were like

At the price point, amenities, and theme of the resort, Cabana Bay is my favorite theme park resort in Orlando. It can't be beat, IMO. I've only stayed in the normal style room, which was comfortable and clean. The pools are great, common areas are fun, and the food is decent. Having a Starbucks in the resort helps a lot.

Stayed there in January. It was a nice resort. Obviously very new and it showed. We stayed in a family suite and it was very practical and had plenty of room: 2 beds, split bathrooms, a 'lounge' area with a fold out couch, TV, and kitchenette. The only thing I was missing was a deck. The pool was big and had a lazy river and hot tub. We took the shuttle a few times in the morning to get to early entry and it was quick and precise. However, we walked most of the time and I wouldn't call it close, but the views are pleasant and it is doable. :)

The price point attracts families so be ready for lots of kids and noise. I stayed twice and had a tough time getting sleep. I did go to bed early so I could be in the parks early but most of the kids do not so..... Beautiful place and even moreso for the money. I will be staying at one of the other hotels next time I go though.

Yeah I have heard about the noise in the reviews I have seen etc so that I think will be a big down side but as a budget hotel I suppose that is to be expected with the noise levels lol thank you for your onsite and for sharing your experience of the hotel very much appreciated

We stayed there about a year ago and enjoyed it. I think they were building a walkway, so hopefully that has been completed. Our walk was a little long, but not bad for us. For the price, it's great! We would have loved to have the express pass that comes with the other resorts, but those are much higher in price.

Have fun! The theming is really great :)

I stayed there back in January for the HP event and was actually pleasantly surprised. Good value, clean facilities. I give it high marks for the theming, which was consistent down to the vintage packaging for the VO5 shampoo and Zest soap in the room, Jack Lelane fitness center. We LOVE mid-century design, so it was right up our alley.

We didn't experience any excessive noise keeping us up, though as @Cmdr_Crimson pointed out, the same problem would exist at the Disney values due to thinner walls and price point attracting more younger families.

That being said, I did have a few issues with the resort. 1) You have to pay for parking (I think it was $10/night). That does decrease the value, especially in comparison to Disney's values. 2) The resort shuttle was terrible. Despite the short distance, the wait was over a half hour first thing in the morning. Lots of people were waiting to use their early admission benefits, but they only had 1 shuttle running. We ended up walking and still made it there before people that were in line. Similar issue at the end of the day, but we were too tired to walk. 3) The foodcourt was good with lots of options, however, it was pretty pricey. Our meal ended up being almost $10 more than comparable meals at the Disney values. Not as many options for kids meals. 4) I understand why (since the resorts are operated by Lowe's and not UO), but it's pretty upsetting the all-day Freestyle mugs from the parks wouldn't work at the hotel. I didn't see any signage in-park or the hotel saying they wouldn't work in the hotel and I wasn't the only one that got an embarrassing loud buzz 2hen I tried to use it.

I am surprised to hear your issue with the buses, we stayed there last September I don't think we ever waiting more the 5 minutes for a bus on either end.

We really enjoyed the resort, it was clean, comfortable, nice amenities for the price and has a really nice selection at the food court. My only complaint is that we were way at the end of the Americana wing so it was a long walk to and from the lobby.
