Hey everyone,
I have a friend who is a cast member and he confirmed for me that within the next year each park will have an icon based on Frozen, either rethemed on built. You'll recognize some of these as they have already been discussed on this forum. They are as follows:
I have a friend who is a cast member and he confirmed for me that within the next year each park will have an icon based on Frozen, either rethemed on built. You'll recognize some of these as they have already been discussed on this forum. They are as follows:
- MK: Cinderella's Castle to be rethemed as Frozen Elsa's Castle: She and her Frozen friends lit the castle during the holidays which in effect kicked out Cinderella anyway. So, Disney is just going to rename it and leave the icicles up year-round and have a lighting show each evening.
- Epcot: Spaceship Earth to be rethemed as Snowball Earth: This is to coincide with the re-working of Norway (to be renamed Arendale, by the way) for the new Anna/Elsa Meet and Greet and the new Frozen ride there. The ride inside will essentially be the same but the historical sequences will be more winter-based.
- Animal Kingdom: The Tree of Life is a huge upside down oil rig so it isn't going anywhere. But what they will do is remove all the leaves from it and coat it with fake snow. Obviously, "It's a Bugs Life" will have to go to be replaced with a 3D movie based on reindeer like Sven and other wildlife that live up north.
- HS: Okay, you've heard the rumors about why the BAH was taken down. I can confirm that, yes, a giant Olaf is being built in it's place. Disney never intended the Chinese Theatre to be the primary view. HS will be converted into a giant Winter Wonderland with a happy-go-lucky giant Olaf greeting you as you walk down Arendale Avenue (renamed from Hollywood Blvd). While certainly not official, I'm sure that viewers of this forum will nickname the "Big A** Olaf" or BAO for short.
